there were some funny jokes (especially about the history channel) but to me it was a bit of a missed opportunity to make more fun of puritans and the hypocrisy of thanksgiving. it was almost there; not quite. i don't like when a satirical show gets too self referential with its characters. that's what leads to downfalls of quality.

it's when the satirical elements only reflect the characters that revolve around the show. i don't think it's clever. it's unimaginitive and it gets old. satirize pop culture in general and it works. get into characters like cartman's imaginary friends...snooze fest.

no, obviously it would be exhausting if every week was what was in the news. they just don't interest me. the characters aren't engaging enough for me to get into all that.
