a hall of famer for sure..not quite as good as ray lewis though..ray lewis maybe the greatest of all time

Among middle linebackers, it seems like Brian Urlacher has gotten better since the wrist injury that cut his 2009 season short on Opening Day.

2nd best middle linebacker of his generation behind Ray Lewis. Lock for the Hall of Fame, not real sure where he fits all time, but I would think at least top 10.

Probably a top 10 middle linebacker of all time and absolutely unique among that group. I don't bother comparing him to Lewis. They are different types of players.

I think a case can be made for him in the top ten. I wouldnt be the guy making it though. I would put him somewhere below that. But also would have Singletary down there and a lot of people call him a top five guy. I couldnt put him ahead of guys like Carson, Lanier, or Huff. Id be interested in what Regular Reader has to say about it.

Ray Lewis is a myth. His teams have been hammered and embarrassed over the past 5 years. The Bears defense plays bad sometimes but with Urlacher & Briggs,it usually rises to the challenge.

i have wilbur marshall above singletary....ray lewis is the best linebacker of all time in my opinion...urlacher is top 12 and singletary is not top 20

Ill personally take Urlacher over R.Lewis if I had to choose. I tend to lean towards the freak athletes who put up hof numbers over the prototype guys like r.lewis... To each is own. Urlacher's size and speed affect each game dramatically...
