If I'm Orton I sign with whatever team is offering a 2 year deal then. That wouldn't be the Bears.

I assume that he's not bound to only sign a one year deal if he clears waivers.

I think he ends up with the Texans or Chiefs.

The deadline is 3pm. I don't know what happens if no one claims him.
Texans claim they aren't interested. The Chiefs are the most likely option.

It wouldn't shock me if the Lions or Falcons think about claiming him and letting him sit out if he wants to hurt the Bears wildcard chances.

If it gets to the Bears and nobody has claimed him, the Bears shouldn't claim him. The only 2 teams after the Bears are the Packers and 49ers, and they aren't gonna claim him. That way the Bears could sign him and save some $

Kyle Orton is NOT worth the few million dollars he's owed. Not for the backup role he will play for the Bears.

Hanie is the guy for now.

Orton did go to Purdue, so I can see why Frank thinks he may not be bright enough to pick up the offense by the end of the year.

I cannot believe that the Texans want no part of Orton. They are a Superbowl caliber team this year and lost their starting QB for the rest of the year and playoffs. But they are fine with Matt Leinhart?

Orton could easily step in down there and possibly take them to the Superbowl.
