All I've heard was the first single...saw the video on You Tube last week...it's pretty good. I think the album comes out in 2 weeks.

It's not bad. The deluxe edition has two live songs from their last album. All together, about 5 or 6 solid ones...

Did you know that there is an eight part song on this album called Shine on You Krazy Ivan. Eight Parts! It's a bit much.

I thought this would suck, but I've been pleasently surprised.

Some pretty good introspective tracks can be found in there...

All covers, recorded live at the closed down Largo Club.

Bowie, Petty, Wilco, Pixies, etc.

I'm sure I've mentioned it here somewhere before, but I saw Jon Brion at Largo in 2000,
and I got to play drums with him after he asked for a drummer to get to the stage for an improv.
I was first. He signed my Magnolia cd sleeve and took pictures with me.
Nice to know that one of your idols is also one of the best fucking people ever born.
:D :D :D :D :D :D

Jon Brion accompanies Rhett on about half of the songs on that album.

I really liked "the instigator", but mostly because of the Jon Brion connection.
Rhett's voice is just too affected for me in most cases.
Checking it out on Spotify though.
