Very interesting. I know who he is from his playing days but will have to get up to speed on his coaching past and philosophies. I think he managed in the minors.

I pretty much have figured out who all the Cubs coaches are going to be:
Bench coach: Robin Yount
1st base coach: John Jaha
3rd base coach: Kevin Seitzer
hitting coach: Paul Molitor
Fielding instructor: Pat Listach
Pitching coach: Chris Bosio
Bullpen coach: Jaime Navarro

There was actually a mention of bringing in Craig Counsel if he ends up retiring.

So we got a #4 starter coaching our top pitchers?... Tribune is still here right?

He used to be and probably still is fat. That should count for something.

What a guy does in his own career does not impact whether he is a good coach or not.

He went 94-93 over 11 major league seasons and had a 3.96 ERA. 3.96 is shockingly impressive compared to my memory of him.

I know, but still... Bosio? Sveum? Listach? This is like my linguistic nightmare.

Would be nice to have a proven pitching coach, but who knows? One would think Theo is not going to allow some idiot to get the job so he must have some good reviews on the guy if he is hired.

I would have preferred a guy with a ML track record as pitching coach. They got a basically rookie manager who seems intimidated to surround himself with expierienced guys. Rather surround himself with his buddies. I think he has "napoleonic" issues.

See what the White Sox started? No experience necessary on either side of town I guess.

I tend to agree but I will take a wait and see approach. Maybe these guys are the "Point A" group.
