No, it makes him the common businessman.

If future Hall of Famer John Salmons is cut loose via the amnesty clause, the Boo better jump on that.

Does Michael Redd have anything at all left in the tank or are his knees completely shot. If he has enough in him to play a 66 game season would like to have him as a broke man's Ray Allen on the Bull.

I'd kick the tires if it was for the minimum, otherwise no way. Rumor has it that he is Miami bound.

Not a bad call. But if I had to grab a 6-5 two-guard who can only shoot and do not much else, I'd grab Jamal Crawford. Crawford isn't as banged up as Redd or Rip.

Crawford is gonna wanna get paid though. I don't want to give Crawford 5 years.

Depending on how much they have left in the tank Ray and Rip can still play defense. That hasn't been demanded of JC since he's been in the league.

Is there any chance we go after a back-up PG like TJ Ford, thus allowing Brewer, Bogans, and CJ Watson handle SG duties? From what I have read it is "considered less of a possibility the Bulls will use their entire midlevel exception on a long-term deal for a shooting guard because of luxury-tax concerns in the first year of Rose's five-year maximum extension near $100 million."

The Bulls should amnesty Noah - everyone keeps talking about Carlos but the Noah $ is just as bad, if not worse.

Also, if you amnesty someone can they still play for your team?

Has to be a scoring two. Derrick cannot be expected to drive to the hoop on every possession late in a game in June after an 8 month season. You cannot count on Boozer on either end of the court down the stretch. Noah is solid on one side and dependable on the offensive glass and thats it. Korver is Korver. If Jamaal Crawford was a Bull last season they would have won a title.

I think he has a lot left and would be perfect for the Bulls. Not starting but definitely down the stretch in close games. A lot of games wont be close down the stretch so his minutes could be lower as a whole. But just that threat will open up things enough for Rose.

Would it be dumb if it free's up the money to get Dwight?

Why is everyone in love with Noah? He rebounds and gets hurt.

Defense and no offense with Noah beats no defense and no offense from Boozer.

Boozer gets you 18 and 10 though.

EDIT: I don't want this to seem as if I'm loving Boozer either. I just don't understand why people won't talk about the bad Noah contract too. Also, if Dwight does come (obviously a extreme long shot) I would rather him play with Boozer and not Noah.

Of course not. But it'd be really dumb if they didn't land Dwight. I was mainly referring to you saying Noah's contract is as bad if not worse than Boozer's. I think it's dumb the Bulls will likely not amnesty Boozer.

I agree. That was a dumb comment. It surely would've made the Miami series more competitive but usually when it's that late in the playoffs you need to have the best player on the floor. LeBron was so much better than Rose in at that point that JC wasn't going to make a 3 game difference. Not to mention Dirk was better than both and was still waiting if the Bulls did advance.

Bulls need a SG that can play defense and shoot. Last year they had 1 that could play defense but couldn't shoot consistently and 1 that could shoot but was a statue on defense. They also need another player that can create their own shot. I would see if Mayo is available again.

I believe Mayo is a restricted free agent.

Memphis may have to make a financial decision. Gasol is also a RFA, so they will probably only re-sign one, since they committed so much money to Zack Randolph during last year's playoffs.

That's true. So they will probably let one or both walk.
