I was laughed at Saturday for my pronounciation of the word "Hotel".
I guess HO-tell is wrong. The right way is HOAT-el.
I also say HAL-lo-ween instead of "HOLLOW-ween" and I get laughed at for that too.

TBone, I understand being frustrated at missing the turn, but "all the way to Joliet" is only about 10-15minutes from where we were at, so it could have been a lot longer of a drive

I've been to Katies something like 5 times now. I've gotten lost 4 times.

Until spany's directions. They were mint, with the exception of going thru a weird ass neighborhood with camofulage speed bumps. I took the first one at close to 25 and almost Dukes of Hazzard'd my car right thru a controlled intersection.

I've never gotten lost going there. I also don't use a GPS and just take a look at google maps before I leave. Maybe that's got something to do with it

I looked at the maps too. I still went right past it. I figured out how I fucked up last time though... on 30 from 59, after you pass Von Lesbian road, 30 takes a right at the light. Well, I didn't know that last time and kept driving my happy ass right past that last turn. I probably went 2-3 miles, then turned left. Then left again and I went right thru downtown, then another left when I got to 59 then another one on 30 and THAT'S when I saw that 30 made it's 8th 90 degree turn, and Katies' was right there.
