Just saw an update that the Bulls are "aggresively pursuing Dwight Howard."

Sam Smith doesn't count.

Can they move Korver instead? Brewer's defense is a huge plus coming off the bench. Although if they are able to sign Caron Butler also, Brewer becomes expendable.

Crawford would be a terrible fit for the Bulls. He needs the ball in his hands too much. He is not a spot up shooter.

Flawed logic.

All the more reason they need a guy like Crawford. He needs the ball in his hands so he can create his own shot - something they're sorely missing in anyone other than Derrick. They have already have spot-up shooters in Bogans and Korver. Not exactly making much of a difference.

Bogans is gone if they sign anyone else at the guard position. His deal isn't guaranteed for this season. In fact, the 2-guard they drafted will probably end up filling his roster spot.

Any word on Kurt Thomas returning? He was nice to have around when Boozer and Noah went down. He's a guy that can go from 12th man on the bench and move into the rotation at a moments notice. Hopefully he's back.

Will the Bulls make a roster move? Does anyone really want to play here?

Brian Scalabrine is known as one of the ultimate team players in the NBA, so when he recently left Benetton Treviso to pursue a contract in the NBA, his coach’s response was surprising.

EuroBasket.com reported Alexander Djordjevic said :

“’A disappointment on the human side, I didn't expect that. This is my personal opinion. He was the first NBA player in Europe to go back to the USA without a contract, without playing the latest games and help the team and greet the fans, all at 33 years ago only for going on his knees to his wife that wanted him back.

He hasn't a team and an NBA contract yet. I was counting on his professionalism, respect for the club and especially for his young teammates. He could help us at least until tomorrow, the team needed it, but Scalabrine had a very negative attitude, as already shown in recent weeks, which gave us not so much on the field and beyond, indeed he has also negatively influenced other Americans.

We're thrown off by this, thinking of a serious professional, but caused problems with teammates and club.’”

Scalabrine played seven games for Benetton Treviso, averaging 11.6 points per game, and quickly became a fan favorite.

He was a favorite among his teammates, too. Celtics rookie E’Twaun Moore, who played in Italy with Scalabrine, recently told the Boston Herald, “I ask (Scalabrine) a lot of questions. He has given me a lot of insight — things to look for. He’s told me that everyone on the Celtics is a close family, and gets along real well. He’s told me how well (coach) Doc (Rivers) does at getting everyone into the right situations to play to their strengths.”

Keith Bogans was just pulled off the practice floor, according to multiple sources.

I'm not sure if this means he was traded, or if they've simply had enough.

They told him to go home.

I heard the same thing, Ugueth. Keith Bogans has an option, but I don't know if the Bulls have picked it up or if perhaps a deal is forthcoming...

They need to send Bogans' sorry ass to Seattle. Have him sit there and wait. Think about what he's done.

Fuck it. Bring Rip to Chicago. We can market the hell out of those stupid plastic masks just like we did with the Ben Wallace afros.

Rip fills the need, but Im not over the moon with it. He is one of my least favorite players, and he had some serious issues last year.

I cannot take even a truncated season looking at that mask.

Rip would be an upgrade offensively. Not sure if he's any good defensively though??

He's average at best. Maybe Thibs and the team D can make him look a bit better than that.

Its just underwhelming. I was really hoping they would work something for a young guard like Afflalo. Get creative. Apparently they really do think they are a player away, even if he is 33. I personally dont think so. I think you learned a lot in the playoffs last year, and even if there is a glass ceiling, I dont want Boozer 2 years from now over Taj because they think they can win now.

This is starting to be Bears-esque. Make the tough choice and finally fill the position with a young player that Rose can grow with.

With DHoward's camp making clear his preferred destinations don't include #Bulls, don't be surprised to see them reach out to Joel Pryzbilla

Whatever. Would make up for Kurt's departure I guess.

Not that I really want him, but OJ Mayo is on the move, and I'm just hoping the Bulls are actually doing anything?

I think Memphis made it abundantly clear last year with Mayo and a few years ago with Gasol that they have no intention of ever trading any of their players to the Bulls and that their ownership would rather drop dead than ever deal with Reinsdorf on anything.

#Bulls announce signing of Brian Scalabrine. Per source, Scal received FIBA clearance and contract is non-guaranteed.
