I think the Bulls will win 40 or so and scare a team in the first round before losing. I'm picking them fourth in the division, behind Indiana, Detroit, and an emerging Milwaukee Bucks team. Bogut will have an impact. Also think the Magliore trade was solid.

I had to look at this a few times. I'll go with 57. I know they're only playing 66 games but I think the Bulls are in by far the best position of any of the title contenders.

Was it really worth bumping a 6 year old thread rather than creating a new one?

53 wins for the Bulls and a second straight NBA Central for the Kevin James-looking, Phil Jackson-sounding Tom Thibodeau.

They're only playing 66 games this year due to the NBA lockout, remember?

I apologize, guys. Next year, they'll play 82 games again in the NBA. I thought you meant regular season wins.

You damn right you apologize. Do it again and you won't be having such a happy birthday next year!

Douchebag weighed in at 51 and I believe he may have nailed it. 14 to play. I have Bulls losing 4. Possibly only 3. Been fun watching the games this year, but not as much as last year. Expectations being what they are has taken some of the luster out of this first place team. They exceeded everything I projected last year.

I have the Heat winning 14 of their remaining 17 games. If that happens, the Bulls will finish a game ahead of the Heat. With the Knicks surging of late, it's pretty difficult to determine what the order will be for the final five (5) Eastern conference playoff spots.

Can't Wait for this thing to get going.

Which two games do you see them losing? My losses were a split with MIA, OKC, NYK and possibly DAL or IND as the 4th.

By the way, I feel like ESPN Radio/Bulls Radio Network Executive Producer Jeff Mangurten right now with this post. I follow Jeff, by the way, @ JeffGurt on Twitter...

50 wins are definitely within reach now. They start the night 41-11, and #42 should come tonight vs. a Pistons' team that the Bulls have won 13 in a row against. They also haven't lost 2 in a row in 84 games and counting either. They also have 3 more sets of back-to-backs including Sunday @ Oklahoma City & Monday vs. a Rockets' team in the same boat as the Nuggets, fighting for one of the last playoff spots in the top heavy Western Conference.

They also have 2 days off each of the first 2 weekends in April, too. After a game Thursday night vs. the Celtics on their favorite national cable channel TNT that starts at 8:30p, they have 2 off days before another ABC game Sunday, April 8th in New York, the first of a home & home with the Knicks that ends at the U.C. Tuesday, April 10th. Want more? Following an April 12th home game, also on TNT vs. the Heat, they're off 2 more days before a rematch in Detroit Sunday, April 15th at the unusual tip time of 5p.

All of that being said, I think these Bulls finish the crammed schedule with 53 wins. Needless to say, it's a far cry from what happened in 1998 after the lockout that year...

I'm not sure. I guess it depends on how many more they play without Rose. If he plays all those games I think they'll only lose two. Probably @Miami. With a healthy Rose I think they are the best team in the league and should be favored against all of those teams though.

I agree, but the OKC game is an L without Rose, and I hope he doesn't play. When he does come back, and assuming Rip doesn't go down again, I stil see a loss or two. This is a good team and well coached, but I have a feeling there will be some slippage as the troops acclimate themselves with each other. Key thing is I don't think they are relinquishing first place.

At this point I'll be shocked if the Bulls aren't the 1 seed.
