I caught the last half hour of the show and he stated that Drew Stanton would go number 9 to the dophins and that something special happened for the boys in blue today with felix pie. When waddle questioned Harry's Drew Stanton thought, Harry said "have you been watching espn"? Who on espn is picking Stanton to go ninth? Also, since when is 1 for 6 in a cubs loss a special day.

I guess Ill have to see some highlights. Did he make some defensive plays too? I still find it hard to call it a special day.

He did throw out a guy at the plate.

I'd say he had a pretty good MLB Debut.

One thing that Ill back Harry on is that you don't say "no hitter" when a guys in the process of throwing one. Not that I actually think it will affect the game, but its part of baseball. There are a lot of stupid traditions in baseball and this is just one of them.

Buhrle, the pitcher throwing it himself, made mention of it to the other players in the 6th and 7th. That should make you feel stupid for beleiving in that.

I said I don't believe in it, but its part of the game. Stupid things like not meantioning a "no hitter" or not stepping on the chalk if your a pitcher makes the game fun.

The orgasm of Pie the day after was hilarious. The argument I was hearing with Mulligan and a caller was that it was agreed he's a great player, but they would wait and see if he was a levelt above that  Meanwhile the Tribune had about 6 articles on the 'ultimate 5 tool player'.

It's got to piss Lou off that Harry calls him "The Northside Savior". I'm sure he just loves the added pressure.

I won't say it. I grew up loving baseball, and stupid or not, I hate if people say perfect game or no-hitter. Last night, when I was alerting people to it, all I would say is "turn on Comcast, Buehrle's got one of those things going." I know I don't have any effect on it, but I'm not taking any chances. Plus, who wants to be pegged as the guy who broke it up by saying it?

Reason, I'm usually pretty much the same when I'm winning or losing. I have about the same reaction to winning and losing bets as I do watching the stock market go up and down each day. I know in the long run I'll be ahead so I can deal with the daily fluctuations. But jinxing a winning bet is very real to me. No reason to tempt the Gods.
