Ever seen STORAGE WARS when then Guys bid on the unit, just to drive the price up!

I think Theo knows that Pujols is not coming here. After 10 years, Pujols even has to have some sense of loyalty.

Now how much that Loyalty is worth is another question.

Example:

Cubs offer 8 years for $170 Mill

St Louis offers 7 years for $140 Mill

I don't think it is enough of a difference for Pujols to take the Cubs offer and I can only guess that Pujols at best is giving the Cardinals the last look.

Of course, if all Breaks down....sounds like Ozzie is throwing quite a party down in Miami??? and anything North of $100 mill, do you really need more?

If this is Storage Wars I hope Theo is Barry. I like Barry.

I think the Cubs probably offered 5/$125M or 6/$150M making a $25M/yr average knowing that Pujols would take that average back to the Cards and ask for 9/$225M or 10/$250M.

Cubs don't necessarily want Pujols, but they don't want the Cards getting him for a "discount" either.

Seen Storage Wars Texas?

Really weird, they got like a Texas Barry guy. Like the Bizzaro Storage wars.

Always wonder if Barry has made real money, seems like he always has some really cool cars, wears new clothes all the time and throws away all the crap, just looking for the one piece.

I think Barry got rich of some SoCal real estate deals so he is just bumming around with this crew cause he's got nothing better to do. Got the Texas one on my DVR havent had a chance to watch it yet. I can't stand the storage show on Spike with Andy Bernard and Bam Bam Bigelow.

I thought Barry managed the Tampa Bay Rays

Barry Weiss, "The Collector". The oldest of the bunch, Barry owned a produce company until he retired and is only looking for a few collector's items to keep.[19] He sells or donates everything else. Barry is the best financed of the group and is the only one not in it for financial profit. If he finds any fur articles in a unit he has purchased, he will give them away rather than sell them.

Kirk told me Barry was being voted out of office. I'm confused.

I normally wouldn't describe a dream here. Nobody gives a fuck about anyone else's dreams. But I have to make an exception for the dream I had a couple nights ago.

I was in a plane that crashed. I woke up in the hospital and I was burned all over and completely paralyzed so I couldn't move. The pilot who had been flying the plane apparently escaped totally unscathed. He came to visit me in the hospital and give me a half-ass apology. The fucking pilot was Barry Weiss. He was in a full pilot's uniform and wearing his sunglasses. He was shrugging and telling me that sometimes planes crash, there's nothing anyone can do.

What do you think this means? I know what it means. I watch too much shitty television.

I would rather the Cubs actually get Pujols instead of taking 3 or 4 million dollars out of the Cardinals payroll over the next 7 to 10 years. It's really not hurting them that much.

Looks like Miami has run up the price as have the Cubs to whatever extent. I'd love to see the Cards stucking owing Pujols 200M+ over the next 10 years. Fuck them.

Getting the Cards to pay 220 over 10 years is pure brilliance. That is a good contract for 3 years and then an awful contract for the next 7. Theo, the mystery team and the Marlins probably just made the Cards spend 50 million they didn't want to spend. Hopefully

I eagerly await the next step to Theo acquiring Gaby for Big Z and alot of cash.

No they didn't. The report had the Cards offering $198M over 10 years after the season. If they're up to $220 over the same period then that means the Cubs and Marlins may have taken $2M a year out of the Cards budget. Not really a lot of money. The Cards aren't going to add $50M to their offer. That's what he asked for last year.

I'm surprised the Marlins are still in the race for Pujols after getting Burhle and Reyes.

The last thing the Cubs need is a $200 million contract.

Barry Weiss is awesome.

Pulling the offer means they were.

Going to say Pujols told Ozzie he isn't coming.

Dumb, but nice.

Tim Brown of Yahoo: Can confirm Fox report. Angels are now in strong on Pujols.

Ken Rosenthal: Sources: Pujols in talks with #Angels, #Cardinals and a third, unidentified club. #MLB

I think the longer this goes on the less likely he is to return to the Cardinals. I don't think there offer is going to get much better

Agreed...and I'm not sure how I feel about that...

...would love to have him back...but 10 years is insane...althought I would say my "they want him to get a better offer and leave" theory was blown to pieces when the Marlins offered 10 years and they matched it.
