The Rock, Channing Tatum, the special effects guy from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and the White House dressed like a cat --- how about the worst movie preview ever.

That doesn't look like it completely sucks, which is an improvement from the last one.

looks worse than "armageddon".

Scarlet got me chubby-er in the last one.

Pearl Harbor had the greatest preview for the shittiest movie.

Man,this movie must really suck. I never saw a movie get pulled like this before. I think the weak gross for Battleship changed some minds. Speaking of Battleship,the "star",Taylor Kitsh has another movie coming out. I think it's called Savages. I think he's a fine actor,but he sure has had a rough go of it with two bombs right out the gate. He should have stuck with the X-Man character he played in Wolverine, Gambit.

Reading this thread for the first time

Not gonna lie...I actually enjoyed the first G.I. Joe movie. I didn't have any expectation for it, so I had no basis for disappointment.

I'm assuming this one, whenever it comes out will be the same level of mindless fun that the first one was.

I don't hold a lot of weight in film critics' opinions (no offense, z).

There are certain movies critics are NEVER going to like. Most of those are the "mindless fun" ones. There's nothing adherently wrong w/ those movies, but you're never going to see a critic give them 4-5 stars, because then they'd be putting them in a class w/ movies like Citizen Kane & Anchorman, which they don't belong.

Anyways, there are the movies I will pay good money to see in the theaters and there are the ones I will save for OnDemand.

I don't think I was clear enough. I NEVER give a good god damn what some frustrated film snob thinks about anything, be it Citizen Kane or Dude, Where's My Car (which sucked, IMO).

The theater I was at yesterday apparently hasn't gotten the memo...what a mess...

I think this really has nothing to do w/ 3-D, but everything to do w/ the perceived quality of this movie. March is the time of year they release "Big" movies they don't think can cut it in the summer.
