Bogans brought some griddiness and was a good teammate. He's being replaced by the rook from Marquette and Scal replacing Thomas is a joke. Depth = bench. Bogans would have been nice as a 12th man.

Yeah, I know. I was just making a joke, hence the neutral smiley. If Scalabrine is picking up any meaningful minutes, this could be an interesting, and yet hilarious season.

noah seems like one of them bigs that is just going to have foot problems and miss time forever, the reason the bulls id not skip a beat when noah missed all that time was taj gibson is a better basketball player than noah..the bulls are a better team with taj on the floor and noah on the bench.

No they aren't. The Bulls were a better team with Noah and Gibson on the floor because Boozer was struggling offensively and is a liability on the defensive end. That's why Gibson and Noah were in at the end of games.

Interesting.

Hamilton downplayed issues he had last season with then-Pistons coach John Kuester and said he planned to wear his trademark mask and headband. The Bulls historically have banned headbands, once leading to Ben Wallace openly defying coach Scott Skiles on the rule during a game at Madison Square Garden.

General manager Gar Forman said the issue hadn't yet come up but that the team might allow him to wear one to secure his mask. Forman said the Bulls did background issue on Hamilton's problems last season with Kuester and the Bulls were satisfied those wouldn't occur in Chicago.

That may be true but stars win titles. The Bulls have one. Not enough. Depth gets you to the playoffs. Stars win titles.

Who was the star after Dirk last year?

Who was the star after Dirk last year?

You could make a strong case that Dirk doesn't win that title last year without Jason Terry. And indeed, there were games in that series where Terry was the best Maverick on the floor, probably even including the title-clencher. For years I've said that Terry was the heart and soul of that team.

No, I get your point Drop. I just think there are probably better examples for your argument than Dallas.

Actually, the Bulls are probably the best example of a one-man team in the NBA.

I'm sure there are better examples. The multiple superstar teams might start dominating as well. But we have an example from last year where there was only one subjective star.

Maybe no superstars on the Mavs and Spurs besides Dirk and Duncan but very capable stars. Who was capable on the Bulls? Korver poops himself. Boozer is a skinnier Stacy King that cant jump. Noah gets no plays. Deng is shot by games end from guarding Lebron for 40 mins. Great team defense only takes you so far at crunch time. Roses game is taking it to the hole. If thats cut off, for now he cant shoot well enough to overcome it. Someone else has to be a reliable option. Anyone on the Bulls a reliable option as Terry? Ginobli? Parker? Kidd?. Not even close. The same thing will haappen against the Heat. Lebron swallowed up DRose in the closing minutes and no one was able to make them pay for that match up. Hopefully Deng can be the guy but I dont see it.

I hope I'm wrong. But I never seem to be. :bball:

Does everybody remember how the Bull were winning Game 5 til the Heat decided to lock it down and went on a "Were better than you at every facet of the game and especially atheltically" 15-0 run to end the very lopsided series?

Heat are better than last year.

I thought it would be funny for two reasons. One, to piss off Kid with a Pippen shot. Two, I'm pretty sure the Bobcats have one player under contract, making them a one player team.

i disagree..the offense screeches to a halt when noah touches the ball..defenders back off and double team rose and let him sit there frantically looking for an open man to pass the ball right back to..he has the ugliest shot in the game and has a hard time even finishing a tip in or lay up around the basket.

I don't think the Heat are better than last year. They are about the same.

Battier was the only pickup of substance and he does not fill either of their 2 major holes in PG and C.

Their Bench is horrible, HORRIBLE.

The 3 headed monster of Joel Anthony, Dexter Pittman, and Eddy Curry is going to be fun bad.

I thought Chalmers played fairly well in the playoffs for them. He should have been starting down the stretch over Bibby.
