Why is it necessary to shoutout police officers for doing their jobs? Is it not their job to serve justice? I understand that they often don't, but still...

Maybe I am wrong here regarding WWN's intentions here, but I think he was mocking the police for some excessive force for a guy shoplifting? Thus he would agree with your premise.

The cop thing is often a difficult subject. I don't doubt many, if not most are psycho ego maniacs power hungry DB's, but not sure I or most would not turn into such a creature if faced with dealing with pyschos all day and you never know which nut is carrying a gun, so you need to treat even the most calm situation with ultra caution. So I don't cast stones for what many have become.

i doubt the guy grabbed the cops groin and the cop said " let go" and he refused repeatedly to loosen his grip..excessive force no doubt..cops in park ridge do not have to deal with the daily grind of city cops so i can't buy that "job makes you crazy stuff" .these cops should lose their jobs.

How do you know? A cop could pull over a fugitive and get shot just as easy in Park Ridge as in the city.
