Not many guys on this team could keep up with D Rose when he ran the court. I always felt this held him down.

Noah and Brewer were the only ones who could come close and they had to sprint out as hard as they could.

Hamilton still seems to have that speed left and he can run with D Rose.

Hopefully with all this speed, this also leaves KK open for the trailing three on some plays.

Strap it in!

Yes,it will lead to a lot of excitement in the REGULAR season.

Another Playoff CHOKE job by the 94milliondollarboy is to be expected.

DRose becomes a man when/if he slays Goliath.

The Indiana type series of last year wont be as close with Rip on the floor. Fun to watch, but it still doesn't put them over the top. Its legit NBA hell.

The Bulls didn't choke in the playoffs dude. They were not favored against Miami. The better team won. What series were you watching?

The series where DRose failed in the clutch on numerous occasions.
FAVOR THAT!

But he failed because he wasn't/isn't as good as Lebron.

Jimmy, I'm not even going to debate you on this. You're clearly wrong so I'm just gonna move on from it.

yeah, i also have to back up the point that the bulls didn't "choke away" the heat series. i'm pretty sure the heat were formally favored in vegas. i had the heat in 5 going into the series.... what happened there was partially true; derrick wasn't as good as lebron... and d-wade and bosh.

derrick's got heart... you can't deny him that. he works @ his game and he's gotten further than i thought he would, especially in the time since he came into the league. last year his shot fell off during the 2nd half of the season into the playoffs, but he still willed this team all the way to the eastern conference finals. i felt so bad for him during that heat series... you can tell that he was trying to do everything he could possibly do but it just wasn't working; now that he looks back at the series he can see a bunch of the mistakes he's made. hell, he even copped to not having any faith in his teammates down the stretch in the heat series.

so yeah, the bulls beastorized in the regular season and got their 60 wins... but when the heat beat them it wasn't like the mavs getting beat by an 8-seed in the first round a couple'a years ago... hell, it wasn't even quite the "shock" that you got when the mavs beat the lakers last year... it was sadly expected... it came, it sucked, and now we move on.

from what i've gleamed of OKC's feelings on this bulls team, he thinks that the ensemble is in peak position to go in and "steal" a title before some proper juggernaughts get set up in the next few years (miami, OKC, mavs, knicks, whoever). in theory, if the level of competition stays mostly similar to last year combined with some added !! from the goofy schedule, if this bulls team plays at full capacity this year they have a small-to-decent little shot at winning a title... they'd have to have a few things go right for them, but they could have a decent shot at it... i wouldn't put them in the full-on juggernaught boat unless they get another bonafide super/star... unless rip hamilton is a whole hell of a lot better than i think he is.

btw, one other thing that i've noticed about derrick's game in these two preseason games is that his free throws look really crisp. it looks like he's walking up there and straightup killing them, complete with that nice stiff straight-downward trajectory when the ball swishes through the net.

i'm hoping this turns out to be a really good sign for down the road.
