It's going to be interesting what Theo will get for Garza.

I would say definitely more than that but less than what the Padres got for Latos.

Agree with the trade Marmol idea. I hope that d-bag Kaplan is actually right for once. Bring on the tear-down!!!

I'm not sure what kind of relationship Theo or Jed has with Cashman now but The Yankees are 1 of 3 teams I see that have the guys to trade for Garza. Them, Texas and Toronto seem like the best 3 options for getting a great return on him.

Would love to see Travis D'arnaud and 1 or 2 of the power arms the Jays have in exchange for Garza.

I'm not sure how much pitching the Cubs have in the minors but I'd like to see some position player prospects coming back in a trade. they don't seem to have shit in that department.

no one ever said we couldn't question theo! That is part of the sport.....all moves are questioned regardless of the team or the gm or the fanbase.

We already questioned his home buying skills and his sexuality (white, feminine looking bathtub) in another post.

You'll run him out of town like LaTroy Hawkins before it's all over. Year One (Again).

They have some position players but they are super young. Guys like Baez, Hoon Ha, Vogelbach, Szczur, Golden. They definitely need some more and they need to be more than just SS, CF guys.

I never realized Colin Kaepernick was a Cubs draft pick. The Cubs have now drafted a better WR and a better backup QB than the Bears.

Exactly. WTF? I am confident in Theo and staff but if they make a shit trade, they deserve to hear about it and they will. And they better damn well get good prospects in return on this deal or it's stupid.

If they make shit trades they aren't so great, are they? But the funny thing is that some douchebag on a message board could reasonably believe he knew what a good trade was better than a guy who just bought a $3.25 million house with money he earned by making them.

How is this really saying anything though. Don't we always hope that the teams we root for get the better ends of deals? Yeah I think we all hope that whoever they get back are strong prospects.

Is Marshall worth more pitching for a rebuilding team through his increasingly expensive prime or is he worth more in the players he nets the team in a trade?

I think Travis Wood is a good, cheap and under team control for 4 more seasons arm. The other prospects better be more than just throw-ins though. I am fine with them being higher ceiling low A/Rookie league guys as opposed to so-so AA/AAA guys.

Out for a late night Troll, JORR?

Dont compare Epstein to Hawkins or any other stretch to fit your narrative of Cub fans.

Your fellow fans still think Javy Vazquez was terrible. At least Hawkins really was bad here.

No trolling. cpguy is a fucking moron who doesn't know shit about baseball. He should shut the fuck up and let men discuss it.

But I do strongly suspect that there will be a very short North side honeymoon with Epstein. You've seen how the fast the fans turn. That's isn't a narrative I'm inventing.

And yeah, some goofs think that giving away Swisher and Vazquez for nothing was really smart. Ozzie Guillen first among them.

Go fuck yourself JORR with your ad hominem bullshit. Go study some stats asshole and convince yourself further that you are smart. Get a god damn life. Anyone having to attack people on message boards has some serious issues.

Go find an Asshole Contest Message Board to test your "skills" against your own kind.

Do you really want to get into with me, jerk-off? I hope you are, at a minimum, intelligent enough to realize how that will go for you.

Asshole? I'm the asshole? The vast majority of your posting here is baiting White Sox fans. And not in a friendly ball-busting way like bigfan, but in the douchiest possible manner. So why don't you "keep it"?

For the most part, I overlooked your nasty White Sox bullshit for a long time. You're that type of Cub fan. Fine. There are plenty of others like you. And plenty of dumbass Sox fans going the other way. But now you're posting stupid Cub thoughts. It should be more than any baseball fan in this forum- or any other- wants to read.

Finally, don't kill yourself because I'm eminently more interesting than you. I'm more interesting than a lot of people.

I think someone just pulled this completely out of their ass but I heard the name Billy Hamilton mentioned as one of the prospects. 103 stolen bases last year in Dayton.

So you are more interesting than a lot of people? WHO THE FUCK CARES? Get a fucking life ASSHOLE! As to baiting White Sox fans, the bottom line is the franchise is in the toilet and Uncle Jerry seems content to not make the changes needed in management to allow the organization to recover. And have I pointed that out? Yes I have. If that pisses you off, well to fucking bad.

And I have no desire to "get into it" with you because I have much better things to do ASSHOLE.

So have fun on this message board baiting people. I hope that puts a smile on that sorry ass mug of yours.

Seek some help buddy.

They better get at least 1 premium prospect. I can't see them not doing so but the proof is in the pudding.

i thought the cubs could have gotten more for marshall, i will say i would not be surprised if marshall and marmol both have arm problems this season from over work the last few years..i would trade both..as far as fans not being able to question the g.m. because the g.m. lives in a 6000 sq ft mansion? well that is just retarded...by that line of thinking than no fan can question tom ricketts' decisions because he lives in nicer home and has a bigger bankroll than his g.m. i do not want kerry wood on this team..he is only guaranteed to be on the d.l. at the least 2 times...clean house!

The DL trips are annoying but the guy can still pitch. Hopefully he closes this year meaning they dump Marmol.
