Interesting.....so it was a heroin overdose and his friend freaked when he overdosed and dumped him off at a house instead of a hospital.

Same exact thing happened in Mt. Prospect a few years back. Girl died from heroin and her "friend" dumped her off in the library parking lot.

Definitely heroin.

I was in a similiar situation with a bad reaction to a much softer drug.

I called an ambluence immediately

I got a ticket but the girl is still alive.


Im not bragging, it seemed like the HUMAN thing to do. I dont get how people do things like this

Tragic? No.

When you put yourself in a situation where there is a strong possibly something bad will happen, its not tragic when something bad happens.

it's tragic because nobody should lose their life because of an addiction. some people can't control themselves - maybe you & I can. but I know a few that can't - and i feel bad for them.

What's the deal here? You don't get just a ticket for something unless its weed related. And if your girl was ODing on bud, than you shoulda just told her to stfu... So what drug was it? I've seen boomers make both genders completely insane.

Oh and its kind of sad some can't see how this kids death is a tragedy. @ the very least a tragic event for the family. Playing the semantic game is ridiculous and callous... That being said, the kid wasn't too bright to put himself in that situation, but Heroin is huuuuuge right now in this part of the state unfortunately... I've never tried it, or crack, or mescaline...

Sounds like a violent asthmatic reaction. Im glad you weren't locked up... I've been close to having to turn myself in as well. I dated a chick who liked to drink on Kpins. There were a couple nights where shed just fall over out the blue and smash her head on w/e was the nearest blunt object... Not fun, and glad Im single now.

Erik Kramer talked about his son via profootballtalk.com

Former NFL quarterback Erik Kramer lost his 18-year-old son to a heroin overdose in October, and he’s now speaking publicly in an effort to educate other parents.

Kramer says it’s important for parents whose children have drug problems to realize that it’s not just their children who need treatment. Parents need to get support to help them learn the right ways to help their children.

“Kids that get involved in drugs, they need treatment,” Kramer told the Chicago Tribune. “But . . . the parents need it as much or more. Many of the problems are parental. I have been in Al-Anon now for a couple of years. I have gone through the drug-treatment center where Griffen was. I continue to be a part of that culture. And to me, drug addiction is a self-absorbed disease. It’s also a disease of non-accountability. And parents do enable by never allowing their kids to be accountable and responsible.”

Kramer believes that his status as an NFL quarterback put added pressure on his son, who was a backup quarterback at his high school.

“He thought he should grow up and be in the NFL and be a superstar,” he said. “I think he carried that weight with him. From a very early age, it was very important to him to out-do his father. And as he got older, he didn’t have the work ethic that it would have taken.”

Kramer learned that for parents whose kids are struggling with addiction, getting them treatment is the only option.

“Sobriety for these kinds of kids,” Kramer said, “is life or death.”
