yet they will also do the double speak and say because of the lack of preseason play it will be sloppy...so then which is it. if you're basically saying because of lack of preparation the teams aren't playing true to who they are, then a win or loss in the first game proves nothing. i mean, it proves nothing anyway regardless even if there was a full preseason, but still

That's a pretty good point. ESPN is really getting transparent in their coverage. I still think Dallas is a top 5 team and Miami is a slight, not heavy, favorite.

McRoberts can play with the Lakers but I'm wondering why Murphy isn't. Did something happen in the last 18 months that I'm not aware of that caused him to go from one of the leading rebounders in the NBA with a good jump shot to a bench warmer?
