A win couldnt get much uglier, but that was a nice way to finish.

Was that a fluke or does Dwight now have Duncan's bank shot? I know he was getting there last season.

Howard looks like he has an offensive game. If that's the case the MVP race is over.

Offensively he was. It's only been a few mins but it looks like he has taken a step.

Howard made a couple post moves and went Sam Smith with his jump shot.

Regardless of his peers was he not the best offensive center in the league last season? He began takin steps two years ago. I liked that bank shot also though.

If we're calling Gasol a center than the answer is no. If not I can't think of a better one. Obviously I can't overlook how bad the rest of the league is.

Even if you want to call Gasol a Center he's not. Dwight kills every center in the NBA offensively and defensively. It's really not even close.

The Knicks/Celtics game was of interest to me. Again, I'm probably going to watch every Knicks game this year. I like that team. Would like them a lot more if they had a real coach. That game should've been a blowout, but because defense is not priority, they let Boston back into the game.

I hate Boston.

Oh and BTW, that whole Dallas thing is over. I love em and I'm glad Dirk got his title but it's over.

The Dallas thing is far from over but I guess it just makes sense that we finally switch sides on that. I sorta agree with you on the Knicks game. If Pierce plays the C's probably win though. If they had a real Center or a legitimate backup 2/3 guy they'd be a contender though. Rondo is gonna make people talk about him as a MVP candidate this season.

*misogynist alert*

I hate women announcers. Not in principle, just results-based. Every fucking one is terrible and sounds like they are playing a "oh gee, that guy looks sad" role. My girlfriend even makes better observatione(e.g. She called Brendan Haywood "Mr. Big ass I can't Play Basketball" earlier today.)

Merry Christmas KS.

I particularly watched Toney Douglas. I know he's a kid but he looked terribly erratic with his ball-handling and he took some really bad shots. I mean, for a guy whose jumper looks as mediocre as his does he certainly took a lot of shots.

And RFDC, I know it's just one game but they just looked absolutely overmatched in every phase. I wouldn't mind a loss, but to lose looking like you don't belong on the court is pretty brutal. I know it's the Heat, but I ain't afraid of the Heat. They're beatable.

Yeah, he pretty much hasn't mattered since about 2004.

You said the Bulls were done in the Pacer series too. You have a tendency to overreact based on a small sample size.

I ain't saying the Mavs are going to win another title, but to proclaim them "done" after one game is just silly.

What did you think of Shumpert? I said I liked him off gate but then he stated trying to do too much and killing NY's rythm with no results to be shown for it. I don't think Douglas is much beyond a Wesley Person-type guard. They need help in the backcourt.

And my bad, Merry Christmas Kid.

Merry Christmas bro.

Yeah, I'm in agreement on Shumpert. I like his game and I think he'll get better. I just still maintain that D'Antoni is not the right guy to get these guys where they need to go.

But like KS said, the Knicks just need a real, honest-to-God point guard. Not somebody great, but somebody that can get them into their stuff and calm them down when needed. They had trouble getting into their sets on nearly every possession. I know Baron being out didn't help much, but Baron isn't exactly a pure PG either.
