I really wish Hollywood would stop trying to gouge and exploit 9/11 but it seems that there's no stopping them with "World Trade Center" and now with the upcoming "Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close" which is based on a book by the author of "Everything is Illuminated".

Now, in this case, even the book was poorly received as trying to make a buck off of 9/11 and was considered hokey and too sentimental. The few previews I've seen for the film version look pretty much the same.

Makes me want to vomit. Now, you had a decent film with "Flight 93" that didn't try to celebrate anything--just told the facts as much as they could, and didn't embellish too much.

Even in the few minutes I've seen of this, it already wants to grab you and bear hug you. I really hate it when films try to overtly manipulate you. Just like in "50/50" which again tried to make you instantly like someone and feel bad for them because they had a terminal disease.

There's no way I'm checking this movie out, because I'm not that much of a sucker--I hope this movie fails big time. It's Oscar Craving at its worst. And no doubt it'll get nominations. Really disappointed in Tom Hanks lately. He's been taking easy street a lot in the past few years.

I don't care as much I guess. You're going to watch it or you're not. You'll be entertained or you won't.
With analysis like this you are my early favorite for Poster of the Year 2012.

I will probably see this movie, but definitely not in theaters (not that where I see it really matters, I suppose). Chances are I've already seen 100 movies like it, but it is what it is.

Panther would tell you that you have no idea about the true ending.

Coincidentally, this movie carries the same title as the last gonzo porn I watched the other night.

It moved slowly, but turned out not to a total disaster. It is better than War Horse. I cannot understand why it was made.

Watched it with my wife Thursday night. Wanted to kill the kid for 80% of the movie- he was very adept at being annoying. Kinda felt bad when his mom explained her role. Definitely wanted more from the end. Wasn't as much of a chick flick as I was banking on, either.

You should always consult the rulebook first, Keffer: Any RomCom with Reese Witherspoon and/or Sandra Bullock will always get you laid.

Thanks, Q. Actually, I grabbed the opportunity to expose my son to the original uncut Animal House for the first time right after the other movie ended. about 30 seconds into the classic, my wife said "that's great.. let me know when you grow up" and went to bed alone. so I sat through that other piece of crap and no reward? story of my life
