The original program director and first voiceover of The SCORE, Ron Gleason, is now on with Mac & Spiegs as the sports talker's 20th Anniversary Week now continues.

He is a snooze but you do need someone to give historical perspective if you are looking to tell the story.

True, GD. I was looking more for reaction, because if I remember correctly, it didn't end well for Mac and Ron Gleason, now programming 780 AM WBBM & sister station 105.9 FM WCFS, the first time around...

Anyone who takes mic time away from Mac and Fatpants is a plus.

I think she had her own latenight show in the early years of The SCORE going 24/7. She's no longer in the sports talk biz, and I wonder if she had issues with previous management.

A couple things about Julie. I think she got tired of being the only girl in an all boy's club. I believe she found North to be rather crude. She wasn't wrong. But if I remember correctly, her departure came when the Cubs had those good teams and she was ordered to talk Cubs. Julie is a Sox fan and wanted to talk Sox with the regular drooling mouth-breathers who called her show. I think she got angry because she felt like no one else was given orders on what topics to discuss.

Julie was awful, that is why she got let go and maybe her on Sox-cam in the parking lot.

Sir had Julie on the other night during a walk down memory lane. I was glad to hear she found herself someone as that seemed to be something that weighed heavily on her psyche. Typical nerdy Julie, she received Cubs-Sox tickets as a wedding gift (gee thanks) and made up a sign to get on TV. If you were that desperate to get noticed, why did you leave the radio.

I thought she did a fantastic job on the Sunday morning baseball show.
