All these friggin North threads. I have been on here a few years, but nobody ever talks about Dan. Personally,I liked the guy and think he does a great job on the Comcast post game show. I know he can be pretty vanilla, but He was a solid radio host. Did Danny Mac have a problem with him? I seem to remember that brief team-up.

I recall the pairing being very awkward; they didn't know what to do with each other.

jiggs was a good radio host?

he was a grade A brown nose to every guest, never asked a tough question. on sports broadcasts he struggles to read his cue cards and stutters and stammers thru the sports clips. he was in the right place at the right time. if jiggs left this market he would not find a media job in a major market.

I think Jiggetts & North have something in the works.

If it's anything other than a suicide pact, I'll be extremely disappointed.

The hallmark of Jiggs work was minimal effort for maximum money. It is shocking for a guy who had to work so hard earlier in life. There is no way he is reading this if it can't lead to a payday.

Jiggs, as a former player with a Harvard education and law degree should be the head of the players union or something at this point in his career.

Yo Jimmy, Mac just reiterated this during the "ask us anything" segment during the 11 AM hour of the Danny Mac Show in case you want to hear it from him.

Decent stuff if you can podcast it.

Apologies to cynicalips for the SHARKiness of these posts.

Anyone listening to this? Spiegs is asked whether he hates Bernstein. He says no in about 30 words. In the background, pretty sure you can hear Mac whispering Yessss.

I don't think Meatpants really hates Bernsie as he is jealous of him.

That is definitely part of it.

Would the Dan hate question have been answered differently if posed to Mac?

This is probably correct. That subtext is in every opposing stance Meat takes to a Bernstein argument.

Wow - Hate to say it but I assumed this was a RIP thread.
The guy gets fatter everytime I see him.

Jigs is ok in small portions - like a Bears show but you could program his 4 or 5 standard cliches into a novelty bottle opener and the bottle opener could fill in for him without anyone noticing..."All Good AG", "Wet my beak", "I'm just sayin", "Exactly Right".

I must give him props on his daughter. Very pretty and a good prompter reader. I wonder if she's complained to dad about creepy Larry.

I wonder if Jiggy has some concussion-dementia related stuff kicking in.

I used to find him solid, but on the one or two occasions I watched him on TV with North a year or so ago, he seemed really out of it.

As other folks said, he is a Harvard guy, bright and articulate. You wonder if the playing days are catching up with him and some of the other jobs he might be qualified for take too much concentration.

I sent a text "addressed" to Mac asking the same question. Spiegs answered though. Bummer..

My goodness. Your love of all things Bernsie is stronger than Larry's love of gay bars in the Scottsdale area.

Of course,he wasn't before my time!
The one memory I have is of him standing on the sidelines in full uniform AND wearing his horn-rimmed eyeglasses. Until this day,I never saw another NFL'r with THAT look.
