The Lions are missing certain opportunities to make this a 14 or 17-0 game.

The Saints should send the Chargers a thank you card or something for giving up on Brees and Sproles.

Fuck that.

Keep playing until the game's over.

Don't like the Saints throwing all over the place? Do something to stop them.

payton is not a douchebag at all for scoring at the end. detroit is still trying to score. all he did was step on their throats and squelch out any hope the lions had. i have always had the opinion that when the opposition starts running and kneeling to kill the clock, so would i, otherwise fuck you its game on. they are all professionals. go make a play.

When you are up big at the end you try to get 1st downs and run the clock out. Don't tell me Brees didn't throw that 30 +yd pass to do anything other than get the playoff passing yardage record.

They can obviously do whatever the hell they want and people can agree, disagree, like or dislike it. I like to think that the playoffs are about the W and the team and not individual accolades. Individual stuff is what you sort out after the game and after the season is over. An individual statistical accomplishment is something someone informs you that you have broken after the game, not something you have your backup qb charting during the game so you know what each guy needs to break each record imo.

i dont think it is a big deal either. the saints offense makes defenses look terrible. they are all professionals. some may not like it, but it isnt the saints job to make detroits job easier. detroit was moving the ball and throwing it all over trying to make new orleans defense look bad when the game was "out of reach" just as new orleans was. the only difference was that the saints were successful at it. if the lions didnt like it they should start running and kneeling themselves.

i hope the giants get far enough where they can earn a trip to new orleans so i can have the fun of watching brees carve them up for 400+ yds and 50 or so points again.

We had this debate already a few days ago but there's no way Matt Ryan is a top 10 QB. I don't care what his numbers say. He's already shook two possessions into this game. Giants are gonna win.

He's looked clearly than Ryan in the very short time so far. We'll see who's better at the end though.

He's looking good on this drive ...isn't he?

Yeah I couldn't believe that. That, along with the overtime 4th down call in the first Saints game, and Mike Smith will start getting a reputation for bad in-game management I think.

Not especially but Eli just made a pretty boneheaded play so I guess Ryan is looking better between the two almost by default so far.

Hilariously enough, that terrible call just prevented Smith from making the right call just now on 4th and 1 on the 40.

Giants wasted opportunity to get more points before the half. The way the Falcons are playing the Giants should be up by more. May come back to bite them in the 2nd half

Whoever wins this game doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell against the Packers

The Packers would likely beat the Falcons by more than 20 but the Giants would have a shot at them.
