Well Ryan did not make the horrible calls to go for it on 4th down instead of taking the points

He also put a goose egg up on the scoreboard in the biggest game of the season. Like I said before in this thread, he consistently loses big games.

There is nothing that Matt Ryan does better than Jay Cutler.

That's not true. He gets rid of the ball more quickly and is more accurate on throws under 15 yards. But I agree that Cutler overall is a better player.

Angelo's legacy is, he got Cutler but didn't upgrade the offense to go along with it.

angelo gave up a starting qb and 2 first round picks and a 3rd round pick for cutler...he over paid and no pieces in place to make the hefty price tag a wise move...angelo is clown and his legacy will be of a clown.

I have a question for you. If I were to look back at your posting history do you think I would find you ever saying that Tebow is good because he wins?

In an unrelated piece of information, Matt Ryan's career record is 43-19.

One other thing about Matt Ryan. I assume that his reputation as a "choker" comes from his playoff performances.

He has 3 losses in the playoffs.
The first was @Arizona, who lost the Super Bowl by a touchdown.
The second was at home against future Super Bowl champ Green Bay in a game where defense gave up 41 points(7 was an interception return)
The third was last weekend @Giants.

I'll say once again that I think the Matt Ryan hate comes from the fact that people thought he was the next Tom Brady, and through year 4 he hasn't been.

You just called the Giants an average team a few hours ago. You can't have it both ways. Nobody is comparing him to Tom Brady, but the excuses are running thin, eventually he's gonna have to win a big game to be considered a top QB. His numbers aren't good enough to stand on their own in that department.

I didn't say anything about the Giants besides the fact that they lost. What other way am I trying to have it? The Giants loss looks bad for the same reason why Green Bay losing to them would be bad.

Lots of people compared him to Tom Brady his first year.

I'll ask you what QB's would you jump over him based on big wins? I think Ryan and Romo are probably 9th and 10th in the league not counting Peyton and putting Newton and Alex Smith behind them for now.

I just don't see someone behind them who can jump them based on either statistics or "big wins". I guess a case could be made for Newton on statistics.

The same logic that you use to discount the Giants as average would apply to Arizona and GB who beat Atlanta also, right? Arizona was 9-7 and won a crappy division and GB was 10-6 and didn't even win their division. So using you logic from earlier today, Atlanta has lost to three average teams in the playoffs without one win.

I'm sure you know the answer to this. If the Giants win the Super Bowl this year the losses by Atlanta and Green Bay would not look as bad. If the Giants get blown out by the Packers the loss by the Falcons looks really bad.

Ok so if the Giants beat GB and win one or two more games after that then you'll no longer consider it a horrible loss along the lines of some of the Colts postseason losses?

Of course the loss wouldn't look as bad, but with as big of a favorite as everyone including you thinks the Packers are it would have to be viewed as somewhat of a bad loss. The Giants winning the Super Bowl would cause a big change to that though since they'd presumably have also beaten the Saints/49ers and Ravens/Pats.

Sounds like you are pretty concerned that all your bragging about the best offense in NFL history is going to be held against you if they lose.

Not at all. I'm obviously gonna take a lot of shit and rightfully so. I've never been worried about comments here. I was moreso poking fun at how you view "average" teams.
