Whenever someone complains about a free agent's contract demands, someone will always say that the market determines a players value...and rightly so.

So the fact that no one other than the Bears seem to be interested in Ruskell as a GM seems to me a indicator of Ruskell's value. If Ruskell was as highly thought of as some in the media say, wouldn't you think he would a candidate for, lets say the Colts job?

Reminds me of Ron Turner's last year as OC of the Bears. I would keep hearing stories of how respected Turner was around the league. Yet for the last 2 years he has been what, the wide receivers coach of the Colts? If he was that respected, he should have gotten a OC somewhere.

So it has been what, 2 weeks since Angelo was fired...& the Phillips has yet to recruit & interview a single candidate for any of the positions that are open. No one wants to work for these clowns. The Bears have a poor reputation around the league. I'm starting to think that Phillips has no relationships around the league & that he isn't networked like he should be. The 2 teams who the Bears have screwed in the last couple of years, the Ravens & Titans both denied requests to interview one of their employees.
Then again we all knew exactly how this was going to play out.
It really is unbelievable that the McCaskeys continue to employ Ted Phillips.

You know I don't usually agree with you Scorehead but you are right. Phillips is a clown and its embarrasing that the Bears keep trotting him out there when they are one of the "core franchises" of the NFL.

par for the course with these inept clowns..i would have fired phillips when i saw the drawings for the face lift in soldier field.. my only hope is that george mccaskey wanted to throw the fans a bone for a year and bring in a new team pres/g.m. to rebuild this mess the right way in 11 months when lovie and phillips are fired.

George McCaskey came off as a pussy in the press conference. A meek & mild guy who made it sound like Ted & Lovie own the fucking Bears. The Bears are completely void of leadership at every level of the organization coaching, GM, President, & Ownershhip.
