Hub wasn't the only football expert who thought that Newton couldn't play in the NFL.

No one gets them all right...just look at the Bears draft picks.

Hub and I go wayyyy back, although he doesnt know it.

There was a time Hub's publication was far and away the premiere source of football information in the country.

He blew it, by not going online earlier and maintaining that dominance. So now he is just another source of opinions, instead of being the Number 1 source for stats.

He didn't get dumber or smarter, but others did a better job than him.

He readily admits he was wrong about that. Although, Hub's criticism was directed at his character, not his athletic ability. He may still be proven right about that (see M. Vick)

hub also says - carolina " the worst group of wide receivers he has seen in the last 15 -20 years" ...i have seen worse groups of wideouts with the bears 2 or 3 times in the last decade.
