Do you really believe this? If so, what aspects of a North show would be better than Mully/Hanley? Not a fan at all of M/H, but at the end, North was horrible. I honestly cannot think of anything North did better unless one enjoys the comedic humor of a train wreck.

If you think about it, North has a big announcement in 2 days, and an all news/talk station is starting in 2 days in this market. I would think he could get in the door there as maybe a sports update guy.

Hey I appreciate your enjoying badness, and how you paint a picture of how you see it here. I just question which level of badness is more palatable. I may have to spend more time listening to M/H and see if it has reached North levels. I honestly think North at the end of the SCR days and all since then isn't worth the effort. The occasional podcast is humorous, but not worth the five (5) minutes it takes to listen. A four(4) hour block of time on my favorite station would be horrible. I like the Q101 idea though.

As I mentioned, the press release indicated that there would be known hosts from different backgrounds (news, sports, music, etc) brought in. Nort and Mancow ( ) are the first 2 that come to mind, and old man Dahl is 3rd.

That said, BlackCastle's rack is easily a 7-7.5

To be honest, as far as the new station goes, I doubt I'd listen much because I like music when I'm in the car, and I can't stream at work. Also, if the rumors are true, the idea of Pappy and SuckCow being back on the air here are a giant turnoff to me.

Dahl/North isn't new mixed with old, it's old mixed with old (with a massive dose of fail).

My problem with North is that his show just wasn't very good, and he talked out of his ass like some wannabe goodfella. He had his shot to be the #1 guy at the Score, and he failed.

That said, if he wanted to go the direction of "right-wing political spin" coupled with underlying racism, good luck to him...it seems to be his specialty.

As someone in their early 30's, Dahl is the shock jock that my dad enjoyed. To me, he's the Disco Demolition guy, and the creator of many bad parody songs.
