It was funny that Mac kept baiting both Harry and Jurko to get into it on the air and discuss the reason why they were fighting during the day. To both Jurko and Harry credits they really wanted no part of it . I think Mac was excited that someone else besides him had a problem with Harry ...

I notice Mac and Jurko never seem to disagree with each other and to my knowledge never have had an on air tiff. WHY is that Mac?

Hmm...this is all starting to make some sense.

What happened around this time last year? Sean Salisbury came over from the mothership to do a 3 hour sports radio gig. Sean is one of ESPN's golden boys. ESPN sent him to Chicago to groom him to be a national radio host down the road. (Probably some sort of daily NFL show from August to Feb.) Sean said he was excited to be in Chicago and couldn't wait to be a part of the team and move out here.....and then he sucked at this radio gig. And then he showed didn't care about this gig (showing up late and whatnot). And then he never moved to Chicago. ESPN will bring him back to Bristol for good once they feel they've groomed him to their liking (keep in mind I said "their" not ours)

Enter "El" Justin Craig. He comes from Bristol some eight months ago or so. He was their goldne boy behind the scenes working on their golden show Mike and Mike. Craig wanted to advance his career. He became the weekend PD in Bristol. What's the next step? Be the PD for ESPN National. However, they probably have someone who is happy in that position and wanted to give Craig some experience in charge of a station for all week's worth of programming....Enter Chicago, again. Craig moves out here to an apartment from what i understand. His fiance/wife (can't remember, not important) does NOT move here and has stayed out there the whole time. Danny Mac gets wind that Craig's wife has no interest of moving here. Mac starts putting the pieces together that Craig is just using Chicago as his stepping stone. Doesn't really know much about the station and its listeners and really, doesn't care. he cares about Bristol and endorses Salisbury and ANYTHING ESPN National. Meanwhile one of Mac's buddies Adam Delevitt, who should have gotten the job, has to sit back and wait after doing his part as the interim PD. Plus, Craig doesn't have Chicago's best interest at heart if its true this is all for that next job in Bristol.

Mac's pissed about the whole situation and frankly I can see why. This is my conspiracy theory.

A pretty good theory as well ... The ratings come out tomorrow and I have not heard Mac chirping at all this time . It sounds like a ship with out
a sail over at 1000. Yoy've got a cluster fuck in Salisbury and Rosie and I'm not really sure what they are doing with Waddle and the fact that Silvvy and Carmen were thrown into the mix with Waddle as a three man booth last week seems likes something that could be coming very soon but I'm not sure is going to work.Having said that, this should have the Score ahead of these guys by a mile when the book hits tomorrow. ..

I'm almost positive my theory is right to a "T." I kind of got that impression when I had met Craig and his significant other. He acted like he was interested in everything Chicago. She seemed disinterested in even discussing anything about the school system in Illinois when I talked to her and was happy back home, but I didn't think much of it. Apparently Chicago is Bristol's test market for radio.

Let me give Justin a little friendly advice... If this broad is taking him down the path of being newtered and removing his nutsack, it's time to spend a little time with me in the "LATE NITE WITH STU " THREAD!!

If this is the case and I were Mac, I would being forcing my ideas and getting things changed my way because this guy sounds like he has no balls. Take your little lady back to the east coast and tell her to zip it and shut up until I get back . If not , the guy will be asking people "Do you want fries with that " pretty dam quick .

Very good theory, WR. No matter what though this whole Waddle/Silvy/Carmen thing is just an embarrassing clusterfuck that can be blamed only on him. I'm still trying to think of ONE positive change he's made with the station since coming here. Hell, the only change at all I can think of is getting MJH to do more Mike and Mike style teases and that sucks. Justin what exactly do you DO?

Good stuff there PDX Dan. I think you are on to something as well. I do think this is the case. All businesses are always trying to find ways to have corporate offices take care of most of the in house work if possible. This would be just another way, but on the sports radio scale. Unfortunately because Mike and Mike does well here, they probably feel they can get away from this. ESPN Bristol probably also thinks its Steve Rosenbloom holding back Sean, because its not possible for Salisbury to be this bad on radio right? Just more corporate bs probably and if we know anything about Mac, we've seen his attitude in the past about "The Man" keeping him down.

Dan, it probably will be Tom being our local "NFL" guy who'll have his own show throughout the season.

I know Mac is by far the biggest fish at that station now so probably has a lot of leverage. That said, the last 1.5 years of mis management have to be getting to him. Plus that there is no end in sight and things seem to be getting worse. Based on this I would not be surprised if Mac made a move back to the Score in the near future. Hell, he could probably even demand gigs for Jurko and Harry in the move to keep the show together. How cool would this be...North gets bought out and MJH gets the morning slot to replace him. Wishful thinking but who knows. The Score has to know that if they got Mac that ESPN 1000 is effectively done and they get a huge ratings and revenue boost. Make it happen Mitch!!!

So does this mean Bristol will realize Craig can't do a damn thing right? And who, how, and when are they going to fix their f'king morning/afternoon programming? The Score should blow them away this period. Please answer these questions Ryan.

Ryan and Stu seem to want to point the finger at Mr. Craig and all the while things have gone south under Jim Pastors watch . It sounds like a lot of Dan McNeil's complaints had been with Jim Pastors rule of thumb and his lack of focus on the stations as a whole .

If you remember Ryan and Stu that Jim Pastor was the guy who gave Dan and Harry almost 3 weeks off last year after their on air scrap.

The 9-12 WILL be Silvy, Waddle, and Carmen. Mac kept alluding to this last week before they had a three man episode of The Show. Book it.

I'm not saying anything either way on pastor. What I am point ing out here is a pattern in what ESPN Bristol has been doing and I think Mac's figured it out and it pisses him off along with everything else.

Craig, Pastor, the man on the moon. I don't care whose fault it is just fix it!!! Ryan, how are Harry and Jurko fighting going to fix managment or the other problems at the station?

Has Carmen signed a contract? I thought his old one ended in March but he's still on. I've can't say I've ever heard the 3 of them together.

I have a feeling Mac would be leaving Harry at 1000..Just a hunch on my part. It would be like living with your mother-in law while your house is being built and moving her in with you when it's done .

In other words , you served your purpose and it's time to move on .

"Fatha why can't they take me with them'? Dads response, "Becuase I don't know anyone over at 670 and I can't call in markers over there son " !!

Mac, Jurko and Terry would be a mess full of weird sound effects and inside jokes. Keep it.

I'm not going to be one and say Justin Craig can't do a damn thing right. I think, again, it's pretty much Bristol calling all the shots these days. I bet they basically tell him what to do. He doesn't F up their wishes and they are happy. Justin's just playing their game and looking at it from his position, I can't really blame him.

Reply from Bristol - What's wrong. We gave you Superstar Sean Salisbury from 9 - Noon and we have Dan Patrick from Noon to 3. Who doesn't love these guys!?

Everyone knows where my loyalties between the two stations are, but its not so much ESPN as it is with the actual people over there. I hope Salisbury and Rosenbloom get murdered (and I hate saying that, because I like Rosey..yes, go ahead and rip me) in the ratings..not actually murdered...well maybe one guy..oh, i'm trailing off.

Hopefully DP continues to get pummelled.

I hope MJH hold their own but get hurt from 3 - 4.

But in the end, Bristol is blind to all of this and it doesn't matter.

On average I listen to maybe 20 minutes a day of ESPN Radio before 3 o'clock now. A lot of you know it was litereally on from 5am -6, 7, 8pm depending on what I was doing after work.

Now 20 - 40 mini total before 4pm. And then MJH for about an hour. And the occasional 20 minutes of The Show if I feel up to it.

never been able to warm up to the personalities at the Score. The one thing I do like about the station is that it is ALL local sports. Even though I'm not an all-around Chicago sports fan, I like listening to local flavor more than national, especially in such a potent sports market like Chicago. But unlike WIP in Philadelphia, there doesn't seem to be a lot of personality with the radio talent at the Score. Mike North is godawful; Mully and Handley (Hanley?) are listenable but nothing special; Murph is all browns chicken all the time; and Boers and Bernstein are up each other's asses all the time. They remind me of a pair in Philly, Mack & Mack, but M&M were far more interesting.

Plus, the reception SUCKS!

I think we'll find out what's growin' on after this book.

In addition to what's already been said, the WS of Poker comes up soon. Doesn't that mean Rosenbloom will be off to cover it?

They didn't name The Show because they knew it was temporary. Why spend time building a brand when it will soon change?

I think the question is who will be with Waddle from 9-12...

I've found 91.5 on my radio alot more often as well. The Cubs sucking to high Heaven might have something to do with that as well though...

Staff infighting=Great radio. Wether it's "Kiss my ass!" or Mac Baiting Jurko & Harry. Far more interesting than an hour of Yankees/Red Sox on the national stream...
