I was disappointed because a subdued, dismissive response like that from the caller would have been pretty funny.

But the guy sounded like a common, trolling jagoff instead.

Just listened to the podcast. The transcript here made the guy sound better than he was. Not that you could really hear him over LoHo yelling.

Also, Laurence is the one who "wishes he has a horrible day."

Sure sounds like Laurence wasn't mad

It's a common shortened version of Laurence, just deal with it. Thats what I would do anyway.

Larry can be short for Laurence -- Yes, the CAPS things was annoying.
I know there are Holmes fans out there, and that's fine. To each is own -- and that's not the issue.

If someone is talking to or about me, it isn't hard to know it's my name being shortened. People usually only use shortened versions of a name when who they're speaking of is obvious.

:) yeah, the caps thing gets old after a few times.

Bryan asked what happened and I told him. Why are you so offended that I called the guy an idiot? Let it go.

It's Mohammad McLovin Smith actually. Muslim Hawiian Pennsylvania Dutch. It's pretty common.

Just listed to the podcast, and Mark was definitely trying to get a rise out of Laurence.
The funny part is Laurence getting bent out of shape -- just like Bernsie's Dmitri Young flip out.

All good.

But at least spell it right, its Bry or BryGuy

My cousin Brian goes by Briguy and I feel the urge to punch him each time I hear it.
:shudder:

I'm not particularly fond of shortened versions of my real name either but then again it's like the most common name on the planet (hyperbole... I know) and when I hear my name like 5 other guys thought they did too. Sucks. WHy couldn't I have a name with more pizzaz like Bez or something?

I feel ya.

My team at work has 12 people. 3 are named Brian, Brion, or Bryan.

Although some customers do think its just one go getter working 20 hours a day.

Romell:
Alishia, Alishia so glad to meetcha
See you in the schoolyard strollin' wit your teacha
The lil skirt you played was really fly
She turned around and she winked her eye so I
Stepped to her like I knew her the Biv is cool but Romell is cooler
The bell rang cause I started to talk yet the class is not there no more

(Yo Red, where'd you meet her?)

Red:
At the playground, ya know
That's where I saw this cutie
This girl was swingin' and she looked so fly
On the monkey bars, we climbed to the top and
She touched my hand that's when I fell in love

Chris:
Alishia...
You are the girl that I neva had
And I want to get to know you betta...

Alishia...
You know I want you so bad
And there's nothing anyone can do
To keep me away from you
