Laurence also stepped in it today. Holmes hoped Sandusky -- not the Ravens broadcaster -- truly suffers for his actions. Mac used that as a lead in to announce the return of Hater Wednesday. Laurence disagreed, saying his Sandusky thoughts weren't true fodder for the segment. He said that the bit was more about "annoyances". Interesting word choice. Seem to remember a caller last week who was annoyed by Holmes' actions. I remember Laurence handled those opinions like they were an appropriate subject for the segment. :roll: :roll: :roll:

I don't advocate "just take it", but I also don't believe you need to shout down a caller to get your point of view across. Caller Mark wasn't screaming into the phone, so why should Laurence raise his voice? If you cannot take the heat, get out of kitchen (bit).

There are times a response is made on WYC. Just last week, the boys pointed out that Dan's objected comment dealt with current NBA players -- thereby dismissing the crapper's point.
Dan and Terry didn't shout down the crapper -- or wish that he had a bad day.
Just me, but you seem like a poor sport if you overreact to the essence of the bit. It's all a part of Laurence's bluster. He just comes out sounding petulent.
