Went out to the game last night with a buddy of mine. We usually just drive down Madison a bit past Johnny's Icehouse and park at the garage across from West End, pay $6 for spot and then walk down to the Billy Goat Tavern for a Billy Brew and a "dubba cheese". There's always some dude inside selling custom Bulls t-shirts before every game, and he just so happened to have the "White Mamba" shirt with the logo Free Ajent posted awhile back.

"How much for the shirt?" I asked while waiting for my food amid a shouting grill grandmaster doing his best to use every line from the SNL skit he could muster.

"$20. But if you need a large, we're out. You can get a medium for $15 though," the vendor said. "But their cotton, so the shirt will shrink." I passed on the purchase, which I would later regret when Scalabrine hit his reverse lay-up as part of the best game he's played in years.

As we sat and ate, a small gaggle of young men walked into the restaurant, sat down in the corner, and barely moved. No more than five minutes later two CPD cops walk up to the group along with an old man who I presume was the owner of the Billy Goat. Apparently these guys had been told to not come back to the restaurant in the past, and after a brief argument all 5 kids were escorted out by the officers peacefully. After the excitement I stood up from my table and promptly smacked my head on the large stuffed goat directly above my head. Fuck that hurt.

After grabbing two beers for $15 at the stadium, we made our way up to section 313 for the game. Already seated in the row behind us were a group of young ladies - all wearing Derrick Rose jerseys and playing with their cell phones - who collectively rolled their eyes as they had to grab their coats from what was our seats. Throughout the game the older girls in the group (or at least the ones who appeared over 21) would run down to the concourse to purchase two beers each and return to hand them out to their obviously younger friends. Needless to say their chatter and comments about how "hot Kris Humpheries" was quickly became a nuisance.

During the third quarter one of the girls (now exceedingly intoxicated) made a comment about how Derrick Rose was "fucking gorgeous" and would be sure to get "accidentally pregnant" if she ever had the chance to be with him. "That dude's just for a $90 million deal. That's insane!"

I didn't know whether I should be annoyed at her crass comment or impressed that she followed the financials of Rose's contract. I chose the former.

I then heard her friend respond, "Yeah, Rose is alright. But I like Ray Allen in Boston. I've been wanting that dude since, like, the sixth grade. You know, when he was in Seattle."

At this point I turned around and asked if I had heard her correctly. Did she really say sixth grade?

"Um, yeah? So what?"

I turned back around and never felt more old at a Bulls game than at that moment.

I imagine there will be several conversations like that at the CSFMB Bulls Game.

Another interesting development we saw while at the game was with a father and his three sons seated in the row ahead of us.

The father had originally sat down first and placed his large fur coat across three additional seats obviously holding them for his children. He proceeded to cheer on Ronnie Brewer specifically for a bit, then grew quiet as his three young sons walked up the aisle, each carrying a mountain of food. Each kid had to have at least $40 of burgers, chicken fingers, and fries to devour.

At the end of the game all three kids picked up their food boxes, which were still full of food, put on their winter coats and promptly dropped each box on the ground as they left.
