Orton is a better NFL QB in the traditional definition of the position. Tebow may be more effective in winning games using other skills.

I don't feel they are a true comparison.

Faulty questioning alert. You would be better served to pick Tebow because he is younger.

I'm just stating that in the case of your second example, I would take Orton as he (correctly) gives me the highest chance at winning football games.

I disagree. But I can't fault your reasoning. What is lost in all of this is I actually think Orton is a fairly servicable NFL QB.

You just think Tebow's a better quarterback. I don't totally disagree, only because they are completely different players. I'm not trying to be obtuse or difficult, but Tebow is completely different.

Tebow will be awful next year. People figured him out at the end of last season and if the Steelers were healthy that game would not have been close. The whole thing is a novelty. It works for Cam Newton because he can throw the ball as well.

The Broncos did not go to the playoffs with Orton as a starter. The Broncos did go to the playoffs with Tebow as a starter. It all depends on how you define "better". Tebow has won more playoff games than Orton and just as many as Cutler.

The thing about Tebow is that he was not the starter coming into the season and they did not have an off season with mini camps and things to get him ready to go.
