Sean said he was expected to be drafted in the 3rd or 4th round in the 1986 NFL draft, but ended up not getting drafted. In 1986 there were 12 rounds unlike the 7 rounds now. That's quite a fall.

He said "was", but I think you have it right.......I bet all those teams that passed on him really regret it now <cough>

To be fair, there were plenty of quarterbacks taken before him that were worse than him. He could have been helpful to a handful of those teams as a backup or even starter at that time. Not saying it would dramatically change their team, but it could have been a slight improvement nonetheless.

Maybe teams didn't like him because he isn't a chicago homer.

After his interviews, they probably figured he wouldn't be able to read a nfl playbook.

Dan, that's why I put them on here. I wanted to show everyone that Sean's projection probably should have been history than what actually happened. This is a really baaaaad list. Maybe the worst class of QB's in the NFL's draft history of the past 35 years.

jim everett had a couple of good seasons, though, didn't he? when he was with the rams, i remember hating that guy because he killed me team. i think he set a record against us, throwing like over 500 yards and/or 5 touchdowns something like that. then he came to our team and decided to suck.

the only other name i remember is bristor. he sucked and was an a-hole. jack trudeau, didn't he create "doonesbury"?

Jim Everett was good when he had Henry Ellard, Flipper Anderson and Jerome Bettis. Bubby had a decent career too.

Exactly, Sean would have ended up being the #, #4 best QB in the draft whether you think Brister was better than him or not (no one mentioned Mark Rypien)

I went through list like the Cleveland Indians head honchos did on Major League when they saw the invitee list. "I have heard of half of these guys?" "This guy here is dead."

I still wonder why he was "expected" to go third or fourth round and then didn't even get drafted.

Other teams knew Salisbury was going to suck. They were willing to take a chance on somebody who would probably suck but not as absolute as Salisbury.

A bit late to the show, for which I apologize, but God-damn, that's a bad list of QBs. When Jim Everett is one of your bright lights (and he did have a couple of good years), things are bleak, bleak, bleak.

Maybe he was leaving pictures of his dick with team personnel after interviews?
