Alonzo Gee was a solid waiver wire pickup for me. If someone better was out there, I would drop him in a second. Someone bid $870 for Daniel Gibson, now that's crazy talk.

I got Barbosa for $606.

Compared to the Daniel Gibson bid, Barbosa was a steal. I would probably vote that the best waiver acquisition of the season so far.

Miracle. I did what I think you're doing in my football league and end up with 6 first round picks and 11 of the first 60 picks.

Your team still will suck. You only have 1 player truly worth keeping.

You're crazy.

I have the #1 player in the whole damn thing.

Holiday and Conley have been consistently in the Top 30 all year.

And Randolph would've cemented many, many rebounding wins for me.

And don't forget that Dalembert is ranked like 17th right now.

And Parker is Top 50-60ish

As I said you only have 1. I have a solid 3 and enough chips to get more. Your trading chips are old or have a history of being bad.

KS do you have it in you to make blockbuster trades. There was a time where it came easy to you. No one in the league wants to make these. Even the teams that are playing for next season.

i'd almost be willing to wager that he doesn't even score in double figures once this year...either because he won't play at all or because he'll be 50 pounds overweight chucking 3's from halfcourt

Can someone explain to me the recent fascination with trade offers of 2-3 average to below average players for a higher draft pick next year?

I have gotten like 5 or 6 of these offers in the last few weeks.

In such a large league where the draft is so important, why would I want to give away draft picks for players who won't really help that much this year?

Mostly because your team sucks.

These people making these kind of deals are ruining the league for next season. How can some people be so stupid to actually accept them?

With the league being so deep a decent player could put you over the top. That being said I've seen some awful trades. Even from people I would consider smart.

You won't make it to the 2nd round of the playoffs. A division winner will take you out.

It's all about winning the title. You worry about next year when it happens if you believe a particular player can put you over the top. A lot of teams are trading for formerly good players or guys that they can pick up in free agency. They're giving up top 3 picks for them and then offering me a 9th round pick for Chris Paul.

TheTravelingMarburys are in a rebuilding year. 29 games back of 8th. Have 6 weeks to make it up.
