Regardless how you feel in this issue - Meltzer comes off as a complete Rock ass kiss right there. And his story about guys sitting at dinner not knowing the house is 100% bullshit. "i'm not saying..." fuck you Meltzer you are saying.

Very rare for him to comment strongly one way or another on anything which is the only reason its significant. He's always been a major Rock kiss ass, but he's right about the younger guys for the most part. Not sure on the significance of knowing what the house is in 2012 either. Doesn't work like that anymore. He just likes to name drop without dropping names for the most part.

Exactly, the house may mean something for ROH or an indy, but not for WWE. Those guys don't see shit from it. And even an ROH dinner convo isn't going to revolve around the house and how much different it was from last year. The business is completely different from what it was even 10 years ago. Ever since the change from WWF to WWE you can't compare, completely different mindset.

There's not much more to say. Go sellout Madison Square Garden once, and Vince will look at you like a monster money guy. I didn't get a push, someone was......wah wah wah Ringmaster. Fuck you. Hey Phil, I'm looking at you. Draw like Rock, and you can bitch. Draw like Cena, cough, and you can bitch. Did you push get killed in the Summer? Yep. Did booking hurt it. Yep. Step up again. Sorry, someone left an extra soapbox at my house.

Video - WWE continues WCW mockery in YouTube show

Feb 26, 2012 - 1:41:39 PM
CLICK TO EMAIL ARTICLE... OR SPREAD THE WORD BELOW...

0By James Caldwell, PWTorch assistant editor

The latest installment of WWE's "Are You Serious?" YouTube show hosted by B.G. James and Josh Mathews continues the now-weekly mockery of the worst from WCW. Included is mockery of Kevin Nash's "Oz" debut, the Arachniman character, Tommy Rich as "Thomas Rich," and Paul Orndorff's "Mr. Wonderful" gimmick losing his mind. WWE/F mockery includes Rock and Mankind falling through the Spanish announce table at Royal Rumble '99 and the first documented WWF wedding that included Vince McMahon eating a face-full of cake.

I understand guys being sore at Dwayne. It's the nature of the beast.

Young guy resents the older guy coming in and taking focus away from people there every day. Young guy becomes a star for years and is the old guy. Now he doesn't understand why young guys are mad.

Tale as old as Verne Gagne.

On the Rock coming back, The Rock will say that what he is doing is helping other wrestlers making it in movies that otherwise wouldn't.

Now to be truthfull, The Rock's movie career hasn't taken off like he wanted, so he knows he has wrestling in his back pocket to come back too and if anything he can come back to push a movie.

This could go in the Raw Thread, but since it won't be out until tomorow, I am actually looking forward to what the Rock has to say after Cena's Promo and other guys speaking out against the Rock.

Not sure how you figure this. Rock's movie career has been better than any other guy to try and make the transition and it is not even close. So while he may not be Robert De Niro, he has made a TON of money and had some pretty good movies.

I was just putting that because you don't really talk about much about the movies he is in.

I would put about 2 he has been in that have been good, Walking Tall and Gridiron Gang.

Checking some things, it says the Rock makes 25-30 million plus 10 million for stunts and 5 millions for producing and directing films.

So he does make the money, but maybe I would say the acting hasn't worked out it because when he was a wrestler he was one of the top ones and in acting, doesn't seem like he's one of the top actors when people would name their top 5 actors right now.

You would hear names like Brad Pitt or WIll SMith.

You're completely wrong Keeping Score. Jerk. Rock makes in between `12.5-15 Million for his movies. The jerk. It's time The Rock needs to look at some of the younger guys in wrestling, and stop earning so much money. Oh, while he's at it, he needs to stop being over with the fans. What a bully.

Punk, Ziggler, and Sheamus. I'm looking at you.

Dude has the best of both worlds. He was/is a legend in the business during one of the high points of the business. Now he gets paid millions of dollars to act and he gets to keep his health. Meltzer was right on when saying he was not sure he would ever come back if he were the Rock. The business needs the Rock way more than the Rock needs the business.

I would agree RFDC on Rock on having the best of both worlds and Wrestling needs him more than he needs Wrestling.

Also listening to the radio show on the Score, does anybody know the plan with Orton, seems to be the odd man out. He either is in the Money in THe Bank and isn't that used to build somebody or involved with the Teddy Long-James Laurinatis program.

Surely how you can see how those guys and others who perform every day might be miffed at the notion that Rock comes back and is given 100% of the credit for ratings spikes but 0% of the blame for poor PPV buyrates like Survivor Series.

What I got a chuckle out of was the handshake thing. Also I think he was saying that Rock was saying that the guys in the business don't get the business on twitter and Dave agreeing. Dave also does say it doesn't matter if they know the biz, but thinks it would be better if they did.

What got me was when Dave said Rock was working on the movie set until 5pm, took a flight to Raw in Boston, got there during the show, did his thing and then got right back on a plane to start filming again at 5am- and then some of the guys (not just Punk) whining that Rock didn't didn't shake their hand and saying he's Mr. Hollywood and saying he's big-leaging everyone. Also current guys saying Rock hasn't done anything for anyone is insane. Rock did just as many jobs as anyone. Rock being there at any time seems to be a win-win for everyone, but then again the Survivor Series buyrate certainly disagreed.

Kinda weird how one small rock tweet and an insignificant meltzer rant gets more of a discussion than Russo leaving TNA. State of the business I guess

Decent punk interview from last week: CM Punk talking last summer's shoot promo, telling Vince finishes suck, not planning anything for Cena Money in the Bank match, Brodus Clay, tons more

I understand why they would be upset. Keep in mind, I'm a mark for the three guys I listed. But Punk v Ziggler in the main event of Mania isn't pulling 1.2-1.4 million in buys. Rock v Cena could. You can also leverage his return to build guys. Maybe they won't need a fifty year old Rock to save them down the road.

Good stuff, sounds like Punk has been reading this board.

People are just so fickle

Everyone just loves being negative....shut up and enjoy it.

But they don't leverage his return to build anyone else. Or at least they haven't. They put Miz and Truth in the main event with Rock and Cena at Survivor Series. Did it elevate either one of them? Truth is still a midcard guy and Miz took the blame for the shitty buyrate.

If it matters, Teddy Long will be the GM of Raw next week and Lauriniatis going to Smackdown to be their GM.

Both Raw and SmackDown are about to get extreme makeovers. In an effort to help determine which General Manager should control both shows, the WWE Board of Directors has decided to switch control of each show next week. SmackDown GM Theodore Long will take control of Monday night’s Raw while Raw GM John Laurinaitis takes the reins of next Friday’s SmackDown.

VIDEO: Hour-long interview with Mick Foley talking WrestleMania, comedy, music and more

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... nYWqplNTI#!

A very special episode of The Slam saw an exclusive hour long interview with Mick Foley. Mick chatted with host Jim Smallman about a multitude of topics, including (but not limited to) who he would most be interested in wrestling out of the current WWE roster, why he took part in this years Royal Rumble (and how he managed to run to the ring), the Cena/Punk match from Money In The Bank, which wrestling autobiography he'd most like to read, his favourite theme tune and so much more.

Looks like it is going to be Big Show vs Cody Rhodes at WM for the IC belt(per smackdown report). Also Kane came back and choke slammed Randy Orton at the end of the show so maybe Kane vs Randy Orton? I guess that's the best they could do really considering they didn't know if they were going to have Orton or not for Wrestlemania. If that match goes down you could see Orton beating Kane with Zack Ryder's help only to see Ryder getting the RKO treatment after the match is over. Meh.
