Now that the Colts are officially rebuilding, what are they doing with Dwight Freeney? An expensive, 32 year old defensive end isn't necessary for this team. I haven't heard much about him, but I've not been listening to a ton of coverage. What do you think the Bears would have to give up, and do you think they should be interested? Get Emery on the blower!!
Why trade for Freeney when they could sign Mario Williams?
I thought his contract would be friendlier, and he could be a second option to Williams. This is why I prefer commenting after I've done research. Ugh.
A league source tells Profootballtalk.com that Colts RE Dwight Freeney's 2012 salary cap number is a
whopping $19.035 million.
Writes PFT's Mike Florio, "Freeney, as a result, may be out." On Monday, the Colts forked over a four-year, $36 million contract to LE Robert Mathis. The deal includes $17 million in first-year payments, bringing the total 2012 cost of Mathis and Freeney to over $30 million. Both defensive ends are on the wrong side of 30. We suspect the Colts will try to trade Freeney leading up to April's draft. There are already strong indications that he's not open to playing linebacker in Chuck Pagano's new 3-4 based defense.

I would cover for SHARK, Drop In, Dave in Champaign, my Mom, and Urlacher's Missing Neck. After that, the list gets pretty thin. There are a few people about whom I would definitely fabricate charges.
