First three teams to calls right out of the box.

Denver - Seattle and THE NY J E T S jets jets jets!!!!!

Many posts of how I thought he would go to NY...not sure why they are not the fave?

The only reason I can think is that Peyton thinks it is disrespecting his brother....but I would think they would welcome it.

Oh Peyton...those games are outside!

Don't the Jets already have a QB? Led them to the AFC Conference championship game a year ago. Beat both Peyton Manning and Tom Brady along the way.

Tho sharing the same home field with his brother's team would be cool.

Someone called into Waddle and Silvy this morning and said that the Bears should sign Peyton Manning and than promptly trade Jay Cutler to the Colts instead of them drafting Luck. I really wish Silvy and Waddle would have the stones to just tear in into dopes like this.

Idk.....sign Manning, trade Jay to the Colts for the #1, trade that pick down a few spots and pick up Blackmon and an additional 2nd or 3rd. Reggie Wayne comes with Peyton. Is it really that crazy for an old team that needs to win sooner than later?

I think Manning goes AFC. It's the weaker conference going forward for the next few seasons and he knows the teams better than the NFC teams.

Also sets up the possibility of Manning v Manning Super Bowl.

Houston (aka, New Orleans West), KC, Titans, Jets, Miami.

Looks like Titans had the best pass protecting OL in 2011:

http://footballoutsiders.com/stats/ol

with the Jets, Texans and Chiefs bunched up in the middle.

Didn't Miami draft a LT first overall? How the heck were they that far down.

My guesses:

1. Jets
2. Miami
3. Cards
4. Chiefs
5. 49ers

I'm not sure why nobody is mentioning the Vikings. Dome team, got some talent, I'm pretty sure we think Ponder sucks.

I don't think Ponder necessarily sucks but I also don't think he is a guy you build a team around. I don't think his body will hold up to a 16 game season during any year.

The Vikings have too much other stuff to worry about. They have a stadium they need to build before they end up in LA.

I'd like to see him go to the Cardinals or Broncos.

I know there's talk about Texans, but I don't see Manning going inside the Division, can't buy the Chiefs.

If your the new Coach for the DOlphins, don't you want to run your offense and Manning will want to run his, of course they may have told him that Manning's a possibilty and you will need to conform to him to take the job.

49ers, I could see Harbaugh wanting to make Smith a winner and not needing a new quarterback there.

If the Jets get him, do we write Sanchez off.

My surprise team could be the Ravens, some people don't buy Flacco and that would be a Super Bowl Ready team. Would be ironic, that the Colts bolted Balitmore to go to Indy, and now the Former Colts QB goes to Baltimore.

I'd like to see him retire so we aren't subjected to a messy "Peyton Manning's head just flew off" situation.

THat's the scary thought on this, whoever he goes too, will the contract be a ton of incentives.

How many years and how much does he get.

The team that gets him, better have a decent backup, because any hit he takes could be it. I know that could be any player, but with Manning a little more acclerated (can't think of the word to use), with all the surgeries.

Which is why it made the most sense for him to just stay in Indianapolis. Luck would be a viable second option (assuming he adjusts well to the pro system), and Peyton gets to finish his career with the team.

But noooooo. Irsay didn't want to pay $28 million to keep him around. Not necessarily a horrible idea, though, since we have no idea how well Manning can throw anymore.

But then Irsay has to insult everyone's intelligence by saying the move to release Manning "wasn't about the money". Bullshit.

The Vikes crossed my mind, but I think the other teams have a better chance than the Vikings. In my list I didn't include teams that need too many other pieces, because I doubt he'll go to any of those teams. The Vikings are on that list, as well as the Raiders, Jags, Tits. I didn't include Denver nor Baltimore, because I think they'll stick by what they've got, if out of stubbornness.

I think its a 2 horse race between the Jets & Dolphins, with the Jets being the favorite.

I had automatically crossed the Raiders off because of what they gave up for Palmer.

I think the Dolphins, Seahawks, and Chiefs make the most sense for him.

He's not going to the Jets. He wouldn't do that to his brother with so many other viable options.

Would his brother really be offended though? I would think he'd avoid the Jets moreso because of their clown coach, bad characters on the team, and general dysfunction instead.

Good points. I don't know if offended is the right word, but New York is Eli's town now. I'm sure Peyton isn't obvious to the fact that his little brother has been in his shadow for a very long time.So many other teams who don't have to play the Patriots twice a year without all the drama around it that he can pick.

I still think Seattle.

He prefers staying in the AFC, based on what I heard this morning. In my own opinion, San Francisco is the best fit for Peyton, especially when you consider what Alex Smith didn't do in the NFC Championship vs. the Giants. They're the closest team to winning a Super Bowl than the perceived frontrunner, Miami.

The issue w/ New York, Baltimore & even SF is: are they going to get rid of the QB they already have? What is the feeling for Sanchez, Flacco & Smith within each respective franchise? I have a pretty strong feeling that Denver is going to stick w/ Tebow, despite the fact that Elway can't stand him.

Of all the teams who are interested in Manning, the Jets have the best chance to win the Super Bowl. They have a good team that is a QB away from contending. Why would he even consider the Chiefs or Seahawks? No chance to win with either one. Peyton doesn't want play on a lousy team.

Edit: Texans might be in the running to as they also have a good team.
