If Mac needs some cash, just get a sponsor to donate a venue, another sponsor to donate booze, a 3rd sponsor to donate sound gear and then have Meatpants band play and charge their listeners $50 to get in--then cut off the open bar (free sponsor beer) at midnight.

What's Mac's negotiating position, pay me more or I'll just sit home? It's not like he can go back to WMVP.

Or get some good beers and throw on the same music but played by the actual band that originally recorded it. The Monsters reunion show is a better deal that this.

Jump ahead 10 years (or however long) and the kids turn 18 or (whatever age) and the ex-wife files a claim for back child support with interest etc. The father/ex is blindsided and dumbfounded, then realizes he's been played. The cash and gifts he gave the ex and the kids doesn't count for shit against the actual child support award. Wages garnished--fuck it, don't go into work.

Just throwing another possibility out there, for entertainment.

Sounds like the ex-wife must have been a public school teacher...

A very disturbing thought was generated in another topic. For that very reason I must remind you that while the gloves may come off for mac.....for the fucking love.....do not unglove when you meet up with CGS.

If that is what is going on, then MAN UP MAC, you're acting like a little girl.

No one is twice the size of Spiegel, except for the guys on TLC, DISC, & A&E who need to be air lifted out of their homes.
And for the record, I think Larz is a turd. He does have some connections to members of the Chicago media who feed him information.
None of you believe what? I have made no predictions or prognostications.
There is one very serious glaring omission from Larz's list though. I'm really surprised that no one has mentioned it.

You said no to the Divorce and that he quit. But you said one of the above was warm.

Sex Change, Gay and Depression have all been mentioned in this thread.

Which leaves us Car Troubles.......which is ridiculous. And kidnapped - which is even more ridiculous.

Ok goof, lets look at it again:

Depression is the one that I said could be warm. What would the extreme extension of depression be?

I do hope Mac comes back, I don't know what happenend to him, but nothing on Facebook from, I checked some things on Twiiter, looks like nothing there.

My guess is we won't get a Friday column from him in the Tribune.

I would be suprised if it's Depression, if I remember right it's a Chemical Imbalance, but he has a good job, Friends, and A Wife along with 3 kids.

I don't see him in Rehab, but not posting anywhere could suggest that, I would say he's in a Hospital Somewhere, but I would that would be reported somewhere.

Truthfully I hope he's okayu and comes back soon, but they way things sound, he could be lucky to be Back by the NFL Draft in late April.

Car in the garage running with the garage door down troubles.

I can't believe things would have escalated to that level but that is what it sounds like is being implied.

A total tweaking of the show would probably do him well. When he is at his best and seems to be having a good time is when his show resembles the guys at the bar talking sports and whatever else comes to mind. His partner now is the guy who goes to the bar, sits at his own table in the corner drinking wine and reading a book.

Urlacher's Missing Neck- I hope it wasn't a Suicide attempt.

On your other point about tweaking the show, you could be right there.

There has been some instances with diffrent Co-Hosts during the Football Season that were speaking Mac's Languages.

A couple of them, When Goff was in for a Spiegel Vacation, Goff was breaking down the Falcons Offensive Line.

When Spiegel was on Maternity leave, when Zaidman was in, they were talking about something that you would say how he's a Football nerd, but it's things Mac talked about before.

There was one with Holmes too after the Title games, I think it was about Corner Back play.

To add one more when Spiegel was there, Mac was talking about how he was enjoying this past Year's BCS Bowl Games, and wanted to talk about Michigan's win in the Sugar Bowl and how it was a Great Game, Spiegel's response paid a small attention to it and now if that was a Quarterfinal Playoff Game he would have been there. Mac at least put's the playoff stuff to the side and it doesn't ruin his enjoyment.

Would a change to the show help, I think Mac works well with most people. At the old show, when they got along, I thought the best shows was when it was Mac and Harry.

In my opinoin, Mac and Goff is always a Must Listen.

Preposterous. Mac doesn't give a shit enough to be depressed, and he's way too big a narcissist and pansy to hurt himself.

Now, someone taking a shot at him....that's another story.

Boring (relative to alien abductions and gay rehab) but, let me postulate:
Routine Checkup ->
"Hmm...that doesn't look good" ->
Biopsy and/or exploratory surgery ->
"Yep, that's not good at all" -.
Emergency surgery/bad thing -andectomy ->
2-3weeks bedrest/recuperation.

Or maybe a heart attack. The Larz list didn't say he wasn't sick, just that he's not dying.

This thread is far more interesting and more thought has been put into it than ANY show Mac has done in the last 2 years. At least the thread isn't as lazy as Mac has been.
