My first job out of college I worked at a company that sold electronic parts, capacitors, resistors, etc. Then we began selling loudspeakers and cross-overs. Anyway, I ran the warehouse and shipping department and a guy named Pete was the sales manager.

Pete and I used to get fucked up together, drinking, doing lines, whatever. Once they sent us out to Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show and Pete got us kicked out of the Can Can Room on Industrial Road because he kept drunkenly repeating, "They're all whores. I got no respect."

Back in Chicago, Pete ended up getting a DUI. Part of his sentence was community service. For the community service he had to help chaperone a group of troubled kids on a visit to Brookfield Zoo. One of the kids- I'll call him Jimmy- was a douchey little prick. Jimmy was about 13 years old and he was giving the young women running the trip problems the whole time. Pete thought the kid was a complete asshole but he didn't think it was his job to discipline him. He just tried to steer him to the next cage of animals without incident. Jimmy was acting a fool, fucking with the other kids, pulling girls' hair, and back-talking the adults.

When they got to the llama enclosure, Jimmy began going wild. He started leaping about, screaming, "LOOK AT THAT LLAMA! HEY LLAMA, FUCK YOU!!!!!!!". He was flipping the bird and the Italian salute at the creature that was just minding its own business, slowly chewing its cud like the one in the post above. Families were staring at Jimmy and the women leading the trip were obviously embarrassed, saying "No, Jimmy" to no avail.

Suddenly- and Pete told me it seemed like it was happening in slow motion- the llama peeled its lips back revealing a tongue split four ways. The tongue was twirling and it spun and spit a huge wad of whatever llamas chew through the air. It landed right on Jimmy's face covering him in nasty llama goo. Oh, badass Jimmy wasn't so tough now. He started crying his eyes out and ran to one of the supervising women. Pete was holding his sides, laughing his ass off. The two women looked at him disapprovingly and one of them said, "Maybe you should do next week's community service somewhere else".
