I was wondering, now that I got ya on the line, if you could clear up a recent Facebook post on your show page by a certain someone who had worked for Kevin Matthews in the past....he said (and I'm paraphrasing) "Keep your head up Mac, I went through the same thing with CBS when I worked with Kevin Matthews....."

It looks like the post was deleted, but I was just curious as to what that guy meant.

That is correct. Unfortunately, Kevin Matthews left the former WCKG when his contract expired and was yanked from the air when previous management wanted to cut his salary and bosses there wouldn't budge.

Matthews went back to Grand Rapids, MI to work at WLAV-FM, a classic rocker owned by the parent company of WLS-AM & FM here, now known as Cumulus Media. Kev was morning man and also held a management title for a cluster of stations up there, but was forced out in cost cutting by the station's parent company earlier this year.
