D Rose was a little pissed following the Bulls' win last night due to the number of 'non-calls' he felt the referees missed during the game.

"I've gotta be the only superstar in the league that's going through what I'm going through right now," the reigning MVP said. "But I can't say too much about it."

Told he may get fined by the league for his comments, Rose was again uncharacteristically defiant.

"I could care less right now," he said.

Granted, he comes off as a little whiny... but it's about time he showed a little more than his golly-gee demeanor.

I've got no problem with what he said, especially after watching him get thrown around last night.

The refs last night couldn't count to 5. That one inbounds pass late in the game was like "one one thousand, 2 one thousand, 3..WHISTLE"

I can't say I blame Derrick for being upset that he's not getting calls, but ESPN Radio's Jonathan Hood brought up a very valid point on his "Bulls Buzz" postgame after Steve Kashul wrapped the Bulls Radio Network postgame from the United Center.

For lack of a better word, Hood mentioned that Derrick doesn't have the rapport with NBA officials and still doesn't get superstar calls that others around the league tend to get. He said that players have to earn calls in this star-driven NBA. Derrick likely is facing a fine for his postgame comments from the NBA home office in New York, but I don't think he's bothered one bit by possibly being lighter in the wallet. Watch the Heat/Bulls' game tomorrow night and see if #1 gets the kinds of calls that LeBron & DWade already get.

Referring to yourself as a "superstar" (regardless of whether it's true or not) is bad form. In fact, I can't remember the last time I heard a player specifically say that.
