I've experienced this a few times and I think I may be a victim of sexual harassment. Has this happened to anyone else here before?

When I was doing my evaluator job, the ladies in Indiana were almost all like this. I enjoyed it.

It was definitely an Indiana thing, or maybe a southern thing. I think I recall the ladies in Louisiana doing this as well.

 @ RFDC

KS...wtf? Indiana is NOT a southern state.

MD...really? You think you've been a victim of sexual harassment? If that's your definition, wow do I have stories to share with you! 8)

At least opposed to Wisconsin and Illinois.

Hammond 20 years ago had more in common with Alabama than Illinois. Haven't been there lately.

At Bluechip last night, I think those terms are all they used?

Maybe Illinois is not considered a southern state either, but once you get south of I-80 it's pretty much rednecks everywhere and people in places like Carbondale and Bloomington have accents too.

What is or is not a southern state would be an interesting side thread. For example, Arizona, New Mexico, California and Florida are clearly in the south, but are not considered part of the south. Meanwhile Virginia is basically considered a southern state and it's in the north.

Do you have any concept of United States History?

Virginia has never been considered in the north.

You must not know many people who were born and raised in Florida. Florida makes Birmingham look like a Mensa meeting.

Go back and ask yourself some more questions in the NCAA Tourney thread.

Just go ahead and admit you love when the old ladies (and men) call you honey.

I think Mini is onto something in this thread.

If this was an older man calling a younger woman baby, honey, sugar, sweetie.........especially if it was in the workplace, it very well could/would be a discrimination case. Just sayin Rosemont.

I get called "hon'" "dear" and "darlin'" at least 4 times a day. I do payroll in a hog slaughtering/processing plant. Trust me, HR does NOT care.

OT: where exactly is Rosemont? I will be there 8/31 - 9/2 for my cousin's wedding festivities. Thanks in advance for y'all's help!

I know plenty of people born and raised there, mostly from the army. As many as any other state. And traveling through there it didnt seem like much difference in the people from Talahassee To Miami.
