Buffalo needs players that can bring in other players. By signing Williams, they are making Buffalo a more attractive place to play.

The Bills haven't been relevant in many years, BC. In fact, they signed QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to an extension following Buffalo's hot start this past season. They might be regretting that extension.

That is my point.

They can't afford anyone good since they got their salary cap penalty.

True. Peppers deal is close to that. But I think Peppers was a more proven commodity at the time than Williams is. And you really do not want that much money tied up in basically one position on the team.

That was exactly my point about the Bears signing Peppers. As far as Buffalo goes, Williams is a fool for going to one of the few Cities worse than Houston, & Buffalo is crazy for giving Williams a $90 million contract with $50 million guaranteed.

My point was the Bears should not have 2 DE's taking up all that money. I am still completely fine with the Peppers signing. He has made this defense way better the last 2 years.

And the Bears have signed zero starters. They must have some amazing depth I'm not aware of. Looks like it's going to be dumpster diving from here on out.

they have significantly upgraded 2 of their huge weak areas from last year in WR and backup QB.

You fail to even recognize that and I am sure they are not done. They have the draft to upgrade as well.

Why get so impatient?

Gotta disagree here man. It wasn't FA, but Marshall is HUGE upgrade over anything they had on the field last year. And like RDFC said, we don't have to worry about the Caleb Haine experience anymore.

Boys, I am unbelievably pumped about the Marshall acquisition. He is hands down the best bears wr in my lifetime. And yes, they have upgraded the backup Qb and special teams. But I am not at all happy with their lack of activity during this FA period. If they think they are somehow going to fill the holes on this team thru the draft, it ain't gonna happen. They have never hit on that many picks in 1 year.

Agreed. Although I don't see who else is out there right now in FA that is a "must get". I do think Winston would have been idea, moving Carimi back to his natural LT. The other I would have liked to see across the field from Marshall was Manningham. But I would rather see them sit tight for now til the Manning Madness is over and see what pieces are left. There are still teams with a bunch of money who haven't spent jack squat . Let them overpay for the few name guys that are left out on the market. Then come in later and take a flyer on a guy who had an off year like a Steve Smith who will take a lower deal with something to prove. I"m sure there are more cap casualties coming as well.

With the 49ers getting Manningham over the weekend, do the 49ers add to get Manning more and go get Mike Wallace.

Donte Stallworth is going back to the Patriots, add to this and the Pats over the weekend in getting Anthony GOnzalez and Brandon Lloyd.

Sounds like Ocho will be gone, is Wes Welker coming back to this team.

That sounds awfully cheap in light of the current FA market for WR
