Agree on many of these...thought I'd throw a shoutout to Tom Scholz and Fran Sheehan of Boston. They had such a clean sound.

Slash-McKagan immediately come to mind. Iommi-Butler, Perry-Hamilton, even Dimebag Darrell*-Rex Brown are all up there.

* Still hard to believe he was shot and killed on stage. Can't imagine how traumatic it must have been for the audience to witness that.

Howd these guys slip by you?

The fact that someone named "Dimebag Darrell" was shot on stage doesn't surprise me one bit.

Lee and Lifeson or Sting and Summers are the obvious firsts to come to mind because the bass player was actually a front man too.

But Townshend and Entwhistle to me were my Fav. And Eddie is so good, me at bass would be a good pair. And I dont play bass.
