Kinda a fucked up ride for a casino, I figure it would be closer to a major expressway, but the trip via Furnessville was something. "Historic Furnessville"

Room is kinda expensive for this place? $150 for the old hotel, $230 for the new place.

Good layout of the complex, everything looks new, clean, etc.

GAME TIME - Sports Bar. Decent Beer selection, great TV wall, game lines on the wall like Vegas, food kinda sucked, but what do you expect? Good promos for the NCAA games, good time, no complaints.

WILLIAM B's STEAKHOUSE - Last time I had Willie B's was at the Stardust back in the 60's!!!!! They sit us in the "NO SMOKING" section which is right next to a table of 4 smoking. So the issues start from GO. Complain a little, get a new table.

Good bread, fresh...had some Shrimp Cocktail to start 8/9 prawns, very nice. Small house salad no issues.

Kept looking at the menu and I just had a feeling I was looking at Chicago prices and Indiana quality, so I ordered the crusted pike, kinda felt that was their thing. Everyone else at the table, went steak/chop and all sent them back. Delmonico steak with smashed garlic potatoes, was sliced steak and not one of the slices was less than Med/well...really not impressive.

NY Strip well done throughout.

Porkchop - looked good, but incredibley tough. Hard to actually cut, was given a piece to taste, left it on my plate, so hard to cut.

They took the three chops off the bill and brought out some appetizers (Yes, I know...all spit in)...so those were OK.

Now for the good stuff. Got all the games, 3 card poker, small poker room, BJ, Craps, Let it Ride, Carb. Stud..etc.

Played 3 Card Poker, did better than I ever have, had a 11 hand streak! Spun the high limit WHEEL oF FORTUNE, looking for the SPIN to win the Big Money, but actually got a 2 Bars + 5 Times Pay which was a $1500 Payout! Never won on the game without spinning the wheel! It was a 5$ machine, $10 a spin.

Not that I planned on winning it, but the progressive jackpot was under $2000 for all the games.

Good live cover bands in the lobby bar, had another disco like bar, I didnt venture into.

They have an "EVENT CENTER", which I didnt go into and if they had a good event, I would go back as having one other EVEN there would be cool.

In a month they are BREWFEST...sounds cool if they really had a large # of smaller brewers, kinda sounded like 5-7 beer companies showing up? Belles, etc...could have many more 20+ dont know...but could be cool and an example of a good reason to head there.

SHOCKING!

I think in my 45 years, I have never sent back anything.

I have sent back a few things, but really only in cases of a burger being raw, etc.

But for the prices they are charging here, yes, needed to be sent back. Not even sure what cut of meat the delmonico was at Willie B's, but I know MED/WELL is not how a steak should be served. Gotta see some blood!

Sending back food and then eating anything else that is given to you is basically asking to taste the cooks taint sweat.

I had a nice room though and nothing wrong with my meal.

Also liked that we could sit down at tables as they had free seats. I could play when I wanted to, not having to wait for that one free seat at a min $25 table.

The mins at the tables here are like $5 and $15 thus making us big shooters! lol

 ...no sir...wrong answer...lets just say that a lot of cooks feel insulted and can do some nasty things to the dish before it comes back..not all but enough where i eat whatever comes and not comfortable sending anything back

And here I thought the secret ingredient was salt.
