Lake, Szczur, Vitters and Beliveu all optioned today. Beliveu a bit of a surprise.

Travis Wood looks to have lost a spot in the rotation.

Joe Mather is making a strong push to get one of the bench spots over Dewitt.

Beating out Blake DeWitt for a bench spot. Now there's a feather in your cap.

I agree. Anyone is better than Dewitt and Sappelt is better than Campana imo.

Mather is still having a great spring thus far. I also like that both Wellington and Clevenger are having strong springs while Soto rehabs his vajay.

Shark is said to be a lock for the rotation.

Garza
Dempster
Volstad
Shark
Maholm
Wells?

Who is out? Vostad has looked good this spring. Deptster and Garza are obviously 1-2 unless one is traded. I don't think they signed Maholm to be in the pen. Wells may very well be the long relief guy.

My guess is that it is

Garza
Dempster
Maholm
Volstead
Shark

With Travis Wood and Wells in the pen

I'm pretty sure Travis is going to start in Iowa since he has an option remaining. That's been the word for the last few weeks from what I've read.

For as long as I can remember. No one wants to spell out his last name.

This is from back in his ND days and as you can see by the name on the bat its been around a while.

See having the politics section gone is going to be good for you, you can come out and find out all kinds of things about the sports world. The Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup not too long ago too. :P

LOL. And I can tell you the exact spot I was standing in when that moment happened.
I'd just never heard him called Shark before.

You're the one bitching about rule #12 all the time. I just wanted to make sure you were aware that there is apparently a rule #13 pertaining to posting the same stupid shit after everything I post for absolutely no reason.

Lighten up, Francis. If KS or Hawger posted that I would have said the exact same thing. I'd have also made fun of anybody who posted about Green Day as you did.

good to know that marshall was traded for a soft tossing lefty who can not even make a the back the back end of a very bad rotation in the national league.

It's not like I said Mark Hoppus and Tom Delonge.

Shark gets rocked today. No pun intended. May have just lost himself a spot in the rotation with that dud.

On a side note, Tyler Colvin tearing shit up this Spring.

Is Travis Wood or Dave Sappelt even going to make this team? The Cubs traded one of the best left handed relievers in the NL for these guys. That trade doesn't look so good for Theo and Co. and it doesn't help that the Reds were able to sign Marshall to a contract extension.

Good call. Trades are always judged accurately just a couple weeks into spring training.

I believe the cornerstone of that trade for the Cubs (in Theo's eyes) is the 2nd baseman Torreyes. Even if he is 5 feet tall, the guy can apparently hit like a machine. The other two were just younger guys with upside.
