The NBA is all predicated on "who's team is it" and Derrick falls into that trap of thinking he has to be the man every game. So he doesn't pass much in the 4th quarter. While it is no question a game about superstars, the best way a team wins is with 5 or 6 guys in double figures.

JL3 is valuable because he looks to score and the Bulls can go cold since many of the guys can't make their own shots. If Derrick comes back and JL3 can give you 5 to 10 pts in a limited role then the Bulls are doing well.

A few things to note:

- JL3 will barely see the floor in the playoffs.

- Early in the season when Derrick was shooting less and deferring more, the Bulls looked very out-of-sync, especially when Rip was on the floor.

- The NBA isn't about whose team it is. The NBA is about matchups. Derrick doesn't FEEL like he has to be the man, Derrick often DOES have to be the man. That's the difference.

- The best way a team wins is not with 5 or 6 guys in double figures, because that doesn't happen as often as you think. It comes down to defense and rebounding, not how many guys can put shots up.

I don't get it either. There seems to be a real air of, "Is Derrick as good as we think?" going on. It's nonsense. The fact is, without Derrick Rose, you might be the 10th best team in the East. Maybe.

No way. They are 10-4 without him. Probably the most depth in the league. One of the five best coaches in the league. Without Rose they are the Pacers. Maybe slightly worse. They are definitely still better than the Bucks.

I've never denied being biased when it comes to Duncan. He's been my favorite player in the nba in the last 15 years.

Boozer is not "better" without Rose. The guy can play when he has favorable match-ups. I doubted his ability at the beginning of the season, but I should have listened to Kid Cairo. Boozer has been hovering between average to above-average this year.

In quite sure you have not seen more of his games than I have and everything you just said is a complete exaggeration, bordering on bullshit. He rarely pouts on the bench, complains about as much as your average all star, and his facial espressions look goofy regardless of his emotion at the time.

just personal opinion, never really thought Duncan to be a complainer/douche. there are far far far worse players
besides, every player complains about calls to some degree
seriously watch any game and you can hear "and 1" being yelled on pretty much 98% of the plays

Some guys complain to the refs about lowblows, other guys stomp on faces to deal with lowblows.

For whoever said Rose isn't like the other superstars, I would say that he has started to complain and lay into the refs big time. Him being fined for talking about the officiating had never happened until recently.

I don't think he's like the other superstars in that he's probably a good team guy. However, he's got a lot of attitude after he hits the gamewinning shot. Also in that Knicks game he was overly aggressive. It's as if he was a Shark going after blood in the water. I get that he wants to prove that he's a champion, but it seemed like he was going a little too far. My take is that's why he got injured on that drive to the hoop.
