Hope Rory McIlroy wins it.

I think near the top will be Rory, Phil Mickelson (obviously), Bo Van Pelt, Bill Haas..I wouldn't be surprised to see a real longshot like Hunter Mahan or Sergio Garcia still in the mix on Sunday.. Tiger starts strong, fades on Sat and Sun, finishes 16th.

Got this e-mail from my dad this morning and thought some of you would get a kick out of it...

I spent yesterday at Augusta National. They called on Saturday and asked if I was available to help move 350 golf carts and utility vehicles out to positions on the course in preparation for the Masters. There were ten of us that worked eight hours to accomplish this task. I saw parts of the 300 acres I have never seen before. There is a huge complex deep in the woods behind #10 fairway for the International Press Corps. They have a nursery in one corner of the property that is loaded with azaleas in pots to supplement the ones that are already past their peak. There is a parking lot that contained 60 $100,000 Mercedes Cars on standby for use by members and special guests. The local members seem to carry the brunt of the work on committees and each has a named parking spot. They report to work a 5:00 am every day of the tournament. They are half done with a new entertainment complex the the right of #5 fairway in what used to be a parking lot. It is 60,000 spare feet and has four world class restaurants. For $7000 a person you get access for the week end and all the food you can eat starting next year. I had to park across the street from Gate #6. When I was walking in past the new practice range, I ran into a group of pros who had shown up for the day including Keegan Bradley, Hunter Mahan and Aaron Baddeley. Charles Howell lll was there and about eight others. The pros can practice without a member this week and all of them but one played alone.

Rooting for Rory. I think Mahan (who just won this past week in Houston) and lefty will be battling Rory for the Green Jacket on Sunday 8)

Keegan Bradley is playing well. I would expect to see Rory and Lee Westwood in the mix.
You can never count out Woods. I am pretty pumped. I have Friday off of work so may
play first thing in the morning and come home to grill out and watch the golf in the afternoon.

I went with Phil Dog again. He always plays well at Augusta. I'm not sure why but I think the winner will be someone who has won a major before.

Phil.

Also, here's hoping that someone pushes Ricky Fowler into Rae's Creek.

Why am I not surprised that you dislike Ricky Fowler, simply because of his wardrobe?

I know someone who saw Ricky at an event and got a pic with and autograph from him....said he seemed like a nice guy. That is all. Carry on.

Always seemed to be a decent kid from what I have seen and read. Yeah he wears
flashy clothes but that is just kind of his calling card. I guess he is really good on
motocross bikes. If he is guilty of anything it is being a successful pitchman and
marketer of himself. He has been a media darling since he hit the tour but hasn't
won anything to back up the hype.

I have never heard a bad word about the kid, except from assholes like Scorehead, who don't like his wardrobe and long hair. Every time that I have heard him interviewed, he seemed like a good, down to earth kid. Especially for a 23 year old with more than $6 million in career earnings.

The hype is media driven, and not his fault.

From Grantland.com:

Quote:
•The color is gone from Augusta National ahead of this weekend's Masters, as the famous azaleas have mostly lost their bloom as a result of an early spring. "Thank God," Tiger Woods said, relieved. "Those damn flowers remind me of sex." When he was told that the grass was greener than ever, Woods cursed. "The grass reminds me of sex!" he complained to a male reporter. "And so do you! What's with this damp air? Somebody stop me from taking my pants off!" But nobody could. Nobody could stop Tiger Woods from taking his pants off.

I have never met these guys, but if you pay attention to the world of golf like I do, these things are widely known.

For years, Ian Poulter has made snippy comments about Tiger. This turd has one, ONE PGA victory under his belt, and wants to rag on Tiger. Like Tiger or hate him, he is the best golfer in generations, maybe ever, and this guy has never shown Tiger an ounce of respect.

When Tiger's marital issues first come to the forefront, John Daly had to remind his fellow golfers that before Tiger, these guys made peanuts on tour. Since Tiger started dominating the PGA Tour, everyone's paychecks got a lot fatter, and Daly said that they all owed Tiger for that. I guess Poulter never got the memo.

Poulter also has come under fire for making anti-Semitic comments on Twitter. After his soccer team lost to their rival who has a large Jewish following, he said, “I'm not talking about football after being beat by the yids.”

http://www.examiner.com/golf-in-boston/ ... itter-post

Poulter = Douchebag.
Fowler = no douchebag.
