In the first few posts of that thread you said Flip Saunders was a good/great coach

This thread is a nice replacement for the Politics section. Do Jimmy and Baby have any thoughts on NBA coaches?

Clearly you're lying or you have very bad comprehension skills. Anyone with a functioning brain would know I was referring to Collins. You clearly called him a bad coach.

That thread was a really good read. There were a lot of good and bad basketball thoughts. Surprisingly TM was the guy who probably got it right the most.

No. Keep reading. On Page 2 you continue to defend Flip.

Please tell me you're joking or at the very least you're under the influence of something.

Stupid Conspiracy Theory:

Tom Thibodeau, due to the 66-game season, is keeping Derrick Rose and Rip Hamilton on the bench to save them for the playoffs. Neither player is actually injured, or their injuries aren't as bad as they lead us to believe.

Discuss.

Not me this time.

I firmly believe that Rip is injured again and he was a waste of a signing for this team.

Maybe plausible? Bulls are winning despite the lack of Derrick and Rip, so why play them? They certainly may have been injured at first, but why rush bringing them back? At the very least Thibs is waiting for a couple things:

1) He is forced to bring Rose and Hamilton back (losing streak, for example).

2) Miami to go on another huge run, thus threatening the #1 seed in the playoffs.

The D. Rose part of it isn't even a conspiracy-theory type thing. He could (and maybe should) rest all the way until the end of the reg season: his health = their post-season chances.

Rip is just old, broken, and bad at this point. No reason to save him or play him - he doesn't matter.

If Rip is going to contribute anything, he needs to get on the floor ASAP. They can't just wait to bring Hamilton back until the playoffs. He's only played like 9 or 10 games all year. They need to build some kind of chemistry with him. They had no training camp, 1 preseason game, little practice, and only a handful of games. If he comes back last minute, it's going to be a disaster.

Aren't the Bulls better without Rose on the floor?

The cynic in me believes that Rip knew fully well prior to signing that he couldn't play anymore, but decided to get one last payday ala Scottie Pippen in his 2003-04 stint with the Bulls. GarPax got screwed.

His lastest injury is a freak accident, though.

"It" in this case is referring to pro wrestling.

The thought of wrestling fans and golf fans arguing which of their activities is more of a sport is hilarious.

Because WWE type wrestling is not a sport. It is scripted, physical entertainment. Olympic style wrestling is a sport. Boxing and MMA (while not everybody's cup of tea) are sports. Golf is a sport.

Aaron Rogers needs to get a lot better at his sport in order to not choke again in the playoffs.

That is correct.

Exactly. If Cousins works really hard he could eventually be as good as Love. But Cousins has a reputation for not working hard.
