Everybody is way to cynical. It seems like the addition of the 5th playoff team has not sunk in yet.
If you think the Cubs can win 78-80 games this year,then is it beyond the realm of possibility that a 86 win season get's them the 5th spot? I feel the Cubs pitching will be good enough to get this team an extra 7 or 8 wins. The hitting will be there and be just good enough to help out the starting pitching.

The same holds true for the White Sox (grabbing the 5th spot),though it may be harder because there are more quality teams in the A.L.
